I got this LED strip as a test as I did not have a specific project for it and never tried a color-changing RGB strip. This kit comes with everything you need to set it up. Inside the box is the black LED strip, a 12 volt DC power supply, Mini RF controller, remote control with a CR2025 battery installed, strip coupler to add another strip, adhesive-backed mounting tape for mounting the strip connector and RF controller, and instruction booklet. My kit also came with a magnetic bookmark as a bonus. The instruction booklet is easy to follow for installation and operation. Installation is quite easy: Just attach the strip, connect the RF controller, connect the power supply and plug it in! That's it! Remote is already paired to the RF controller. The instruction booklet also has instructions on how to pair the remote if needed or if you get more then one strip and want to run them from a single remote. There are also operational instructions for changing colors, changing brightness, and setting color-changing sequences and speeds. Note: colors are limited to the 12 listed on the remote. The adhesive on the strip is not super sticky so it can be repositioned if needed. Make sure that your surface is well cleaned and free from oil to make sure the adhesive will stick. The strip is 32.8 feet long (10 meters) by 1/2" wide and uses 1 watt per foot. There are 9 LEDs per foot spaced about 1 1/4" apart. The strip is non-waterproof and black in color for better concealability. The strip can also be cut every 4" at marked cut marks. The power supply is rated for 36 watts max so it will only run 36' of this strip, if you need to run more then you will need a larger power supply. Overall this is a nice, easy to install, and easy to use LED strip. It took me less than 5 minutes to take it out of the box and run it through its paces. The light is not overly bright and would be good for ambiance light for watching movies or having a party. For task lighting, I would recommend a double density strip.

These lights are perfect! This was the 3rd set of lights we tried, others were faulty or white and these are black and work perfectly. Colors are great, easy to use, the length was exactly what we needed. It was easy to connect and start using.

This is the only light strip I buy. It's perfect size and is the only black strip on Amazon. For the back of the TV white looks horrible. It has a slim plug without unnecessary bulky power supply. This is the only acceptable one and I've tried lot. Get this one. Hopefully they don't stop making it.

Installed it 2 nights ago. First night, all ok, today 3 leds have the red color damaged and the color I like the most cannot be done. The lights look as you can see in my picture. In the advertising this stripe looks a bit like neon and is not. Each led is clearly visible. Fixed the 3 damaged leds with 2 unions and a piece of leftover of the same kind..

OK I am an importer of high quality LED products for the professional sign market in the US. I just want to put this full disclaimer out there, but I bought this product for my daughter for her room knowing it would not be used really at all, maybe some times and that it had controller power supply etc in it already. My cheapest roll is $34.80 without controller and power supply and the uses my customers have for my products are really complicated. So I thought I would buy this product since it had everything included and had great reviews. I just wanted plug and play plus the ability of the product to last for a few months (I am not an idiot I know that 90% of the LED's sold here are crap), but I had no idea that they would fail after 5 days!!!! Believe me I know LED's and I know how to install them etc... I have done entire hotels in RGB, but I am just blown away by the poor quality of this product. It even surpasses failures on the worst job sites I have been at and that I have been called on to the rescue. Fortunately I was able to return them to Amazon. So no problem. I am just writing this review to warn regular consumers that there is a ton of bad stuff out there and even if you buck up some additional dollars, like in my case, it does not guarantee you a good outcome. Stay away.

The media could not be loaded. I loved them they are super easy to installed once adhered to the wall at the beginning you can roll them on the wall and take the baking plastic off at the same time. The sticky back sticks pretty good I would just add a pice of double sided tape the 3m at the end where the adapter is, because it would be heavy and it will unstick. The light needs to be off the rod like the instructions said and turned on until they are installed or unwained from the rod. I did see other reviews with the string light turned on on the rod but I did the the same and mines did not turned on until installed. The lights are super bright dimmest is not sooo dimmed but I like them because it makes the area look nice and cozy. Loved that you have controlled over the speed and the brightens which is great, you can literally just have those in the brightes and be like having your light bulb on for your room. They are flexible if you get to install them on corners but do not bend. The string lights really make any area a bit funnier and great talking topic. The photos I took them on the dimmest except the last one with the orange light that is on the brightest.

The RGB wires on these lights are in a different order than with other brands, making them incompatible. When I connect these to my existing WiFi controller, all colors are mixed up (green is blue, orange is purple, etc.). If you’re trying to add to an existing system, it these strips will be a different color.
