The media could not be loaded. Purpose of purchase: We produce stainless steel and aluminum identification plates for the transportation sector. The plates must be viable for up to 30 years outdoor (usually under the carriage of a rail car). We have thousands of pieces to run in the next year and needed a faster method than our other laser systems in shop. Shipping / customer service: We ordered this machine on a Thursday and received a verification call from Amazon on Friday. The machine arrived the Wednesday after. This company ships quickly. We requested via amazon message to the seller a listing of starting machine parameters for cutting various materials. The seller was prompt in responding and providing the parameter listing. Setup: This engraver is easy to set up and get running. I recommend 2 people for setup because the fiber optic cable from the power supply to the laser tube must not be bent at a tight radius. The software provided with the machine is sufficient to run the machine for most jobs. We did purchase Lightburn software separately which works very well with this machine. Operation: The machine is very easy to operate through either the provided software or optional Lightburn software. The laser pointer option shows exactly where the mark is going to be made. We have laser etched stainless steel, aluminum, and etched coatings for contrasting marks (shown in video). Stainless steel can be lasered black, cleaned up for stainless color, or deep cut. Aluminum can be lasered dark gray, cleaned up for aluminum color or deep cut. Conclusion: This machine is an excellent option if you are in need of a laser system to quickly and accurately mark various materials. The pricing is reasonable for the machine that we received.
