I have been 3D printing for over 4 years. One constant nuisance is keeping the filament dry because of leaky storage bags. I have tried everything from resealable to one-time use vacuum bags. For a myriad of reasons, all of the others have failed. I gave the Vacbird filament storage bags a try without much hope. These are absolutely the best storage bags I have ever used. I have not had one fail or leak and I have had them about three weeks. I am really impressed with them and if you give them a try I think you will be also.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much as I have not had good experience with vacuum bags before but I needed a better way to store partly used filament. To my surprise these are really good. The bags feel thick enough to be of good quality and pump down well. I had one incident where one of the bags refused to pump down and I thought it was a bag bag but I tried again a few hours later and it worked so likely that was user error - I only say this because if you have a similar experience try resealing the bag (even though it seemed perfectly sealed initially) and plug in the pump to different outlet. I know it doesn't make much sense but those are the only changes I made between the two attempts. Anyway, good value IMO and it produces a professional looking result.

Storage bags valve for money with vacuum pump and seal tool. perfect size for storing filaments, provided vacuum pump works well, bag seals a pain to remove, would benefit from a small non adhesive tab to help remove. Have found one that failed to hold seal initially, however most are good for two or three uses, definitely not a perfect solution.

The USB pump included in this kit is excellent—fast, reliable, and easy to use. It creates a strong vacuum quickly and works exactly as advertised. The issue lies with the bags. The ones that seal properly hold vacuum almost indefinitely, which is fantastic for filament storage. However, several bags lose their seal after just 1–2 days, allowing air to enter. I’ve tried resealing the zipper carefully, but it doesn’t always solve the problem. If all the bags performed like the good ones, this would be a five-star product. As it stands, the pump is great, but the inconsistent bag quality is a letdown.

So far I have used seven of the bags and three of them will not hold a seal no matter what I do. For the bags that do work they work really really well. However, it’s a little frustrating that so far three out of seven bags don’t work. I hope the ones that do work last more than a few uses but so far the quality seems to be on the lower end. These are the first vacuum bags for filament storage I’ve used, but I use other types in my kitchen and those I’ve reused dozens of times with no issues.

I read quite a few reviews of filament storage bags before making a purchase and ultimately decided on these. I’ve previously used filament storage bags from Polyalchemy, which worked great for me. However, my filament collection outgrew the number of bags I had, and unfortunately Polyalchemy’s website appears to no longer exist, so I turned to Amazon. The Vacbird bags don’t seem quite as thick as the Polyalchemy bags, but they hold a vacuum extremely well. In fact, I may actually prefer these. I store my vacuum-sealed spools inside the original Bambu Lab boxes, and these bags take up less space, which makes storage easier. It keeps the ziplock seal from deforming in the box, and slowly releasing the vacuum. The pump included with the bags is excellent. I was initially concerned it wouldn’t be strong enough to break the static seal of the bag, but that wasn’t an issue at all. The pump quickly evacuates the air and pulls a very strong vacuum. Overall, these bags have met my expectations, and I will definitely be ordering more.

Based on my initial impressions, this is a great filament storage solution. I just put the filament in the bag and close it ziploc style, lay the suction target flat on a table and press the suction device firmly over it. Takes maybe a minute to completely seal. Works great.

These filament bags are good quality, strong material and stand up to repeated opening and closing. They're holding up a lot better than the clear ones. I know they're supposed to be light blocking, but a lot of filament reels are marked with info on both sides, and with the solid black back side, you can't read what's on the reel. It would be much better if they had the clear reel window on both sides, and the light blocking black surrounding both instead of just the one clear window. The pump isn't fast but it works. It's a little finicky to get it lined up and fully engaged with the hole in the bag, but once you get it, it's pretty good. It draws a good vacuum for such a tiny pump, tho it's a fair bit noisy. You'll learn to understand what the sounds are telling you, when you get a good seal on the bag or not, etc.
