Our teenage son has basically destroyed his last backpack and we needed a replacement. While marketed as a hiking package, it seems more like a schoolbag backpack and it fits well in that role despite not having as many pockets as your typical schoolbag. That may be a good thing for this kid, honestly. This backpack seems like it's good quality a good size for a school-bound teenager. The first thing I checked was the zippers as I feel that's the first thing that typically goes out in bags like these. The zippers are metal with smooth movement and look like they're well secured to the fabric of the bad. I think the zippers will last the life of the bag. The fabric has a bit of a plasticky feel, part of its waterproofing I'd assume. I think it'll also help with stains though I'm curious as most backpack stains seem to come from the *inside* as our kids tend to throw food items in their backpacks willy-nilly. So, we'll see if it helps with that problem. While it looks like it could handle a light sprinkle, this definitely doesn't have the features in it to feel like a book is going to be protected in a deluge. That shouldn't bug us but it may bug you.

I’m really happy with this backpack so far. It feels sturdy without being heavy, and the material is both water resistant and tough enough for daily use. The padding on the back and straps makes it comfortable to wear for long periods, which is a big plus when you are out all day. The storage is great for a 30L pack. See photos. That’s with the backpack stuffed with my belongings right before my bike ride. I have my jacket, water bottle, snacks, phone, keys, and other knick knacks in there. Has a lot more space I didn’t use up. This backpack is perfect for me because it isn’t too large (I am 5 ft 2 in). I recommend this for shorter stature people like myself, or just anyone who wants a smaller backpack. It’s more medium size than it is small size. Perfect for me.

This lightweight hiking backpack is decent quality. It has two deep mesh pockets on the sides and a front zip pocket that opens from the side. Inside the main compartment, there are two large pockets , one on the front and a padded one on the back. The backpacks light, holds quite a bit, and works well for day hikes, but it doesn’t have any small compartments for things like keys, a phone, or pens. Because of that, I’m taking off one star.

This backpack is so lightweight and holds a LOT of supplies. We got our change of clothes, waters, and hiking gear in here for our recent trip. It even got wet and because the fabric is thin and lightweight, it dried very quickly.
