I have always found traditional garlic presses a little difficult to use and to clean afterwards. When I saw this rocker press I wanted to give it a try. The overall quality of this garlic press from Cook Guy is good. I like that it’s stainless steel. The handle is grip friendly and easy to use with one or several cloves of garlic. The peeler and scraper that comes with the press are nice and useful. A positive attribute of this press that I don’t think of when ordering it is how easy it is to clean. A big thumbs up. Overall well designed quality product. Given the price point and the included peeler and scraper I think this is a great value. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a practical and easy to use and clean garlic press.

Let’s start from step 1. The clove stripper tube was satisfying and effective. Turn it wrong-side-out and it’s ribbed for your pleasure (don’t really). The press is lovely and sturdy, but just isn’t effective at getting all of the garlic smashed. With the clove skin peeled, there’s still a membrane that clogs up the works. This also makes it nearly impossible to clean. We had to use a fork to poke out the little garlicky plugs. Tedious and not worth the effort over smashing the clove with the side of a chef’s knife and giving it a quick chop. The little spoon they included is adorable and satisfying to use. That part is silly, yet the best piece of the kit. It works fine, just not up to the standard of higher end garlic presses we’ve used in the past with little barbie brushes to quickly clean out the mesh.

I cook with fresh garlic quite often and this little tool is the best. It's easy to use as you just set the garlic on a cutting board and roll the press back and forth and to get the size of minced garlic you want. So much better than a garlic press as most of the garlic stays on the board, and if there's a bit still in the mesh you have a little stainless scraper to get that off. No need to touch, so no garlic smell on your hands. Comfortable handle. Favorite thing is cleanup is easy, just rinse and it's clean. No more flipping components around and digging pieces of garlic out of the corners of a traditional garlic press.

I’m really impressed with this garlic press. The rocker design makes mincing garlic quick and efficient, and I was able to crush multiple cloves at once without much fuss. The stainless steel construction feels solid and durable—no concerns about rust or wear over time. I also like that it’s dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup a breeze. The included silicone peeler is a nice bonus. It makes peeling individual garlic cloves fast and easy. If I had one small critique, it’s that I had to apply a far amount of pressure to get through bigger cloves, but overall, the handle provided a comfortable grip and minimized strain. This set is now a staple in my kitchen.

For years I've used the traditional two handled garlic press. Cleanup was miserable - soaking and using a toothpick on the press and screen. I was cautiously optimistic with this product. Rubber sleeve was a fail. It took one layer off. After a couple more attempts, I decided it's faster to just peel it off. Product was awesome. Slow smash and presto! Very easy. Scrapped off minced garlic with included utensil. Now for the cleanup...ran it under water and used a sponge. I was hesitant using sponge because I thought the product would be like a cheese grater. It's not, both sides are smooth and not sharp. Water wasn't enough to get all the holes clean. I used my trusty toothpick on 3 holes. Not a big deal. I will now give away my old garlic press. Not a gimmick. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Nice, high-quality tool to make a small chore easier. The sleeve to help pull the paper off is an added bonus. It does take a little push to press the garlic through, but no problem. Still much easier and better than mincing with the knife.

One thing I don't like is when a gadget is over-complicated. The only reason I like gadgets in the kitchen is because I'm accident prone and not particularly strong. So when it has a lot of parts, it's generally harder to clean. Wastes the time the gadget is supposed to assist with, in my opinion. So this having one part instead of a press with it's details seems much easier to deal with. I have enough strength to use this at least.

I ordered this rocking garlic press because I wanted a faster method of mincing large amounts of garlic at one time. I already have a traditional two handle garlic mashing press. This one works okay. The set seems like a good deal for $10. It's convenient for large amounts, but whole cloves can squeeze out the sides if they aren't centered when you apply downward force. I'm sure my technique will improve over time, as I've only just started using this type of press. I think I like the finer consistency of the garlic that comes out of my traditional garlic press better than what I get from this rocking style press. Still, for larger amounts, this rocking press is faster.
