  • Works well enough
Aside from not receiving any instructions in the box, my Google search skills are good enough that I was able to find something close enough to get me by, but not without having to go back and redo a few things. It's pretty self-explanatory, anyway, but instructions could've saved a little time. It was very easy to get it connected to my laptop and find a program to control it and make sure it worked. The one other complaint I have is the included bits. I guess it's intended to only be an engraver, though it didn't limit it to that in the listing, but it comes with about a dozen engraver bits, but no others. At least one cutter would've been helpful, but aren't difficult to attain. Works as well as you can expect a good quality, less expensive machine to. Probably won't cut metal, but wood, or plastic are probably fine. I'm going to try carbon fiber, but I'm still waiting on bits. I'd buy it again. ... show more

  • 5☆ entry level CNC machine! It can be addictive as its fun & performs very well!
I've wanted to purchase and try both a CNC machine and a 3D Printer for a while now but they are both so expensive. I still don't have a 3D printer so when I saw this CNC machine I decided to give this small one a try. I like the size because it doesn't take up much space yet its has a nice weighted quality to it. It might be small and essentially a starter machine but it is definitely worth the price. Since this is my first machine that means I am new to CNC machines. That being said, this model seems like a great option to learn on and so fas has been fun and informative. While I am still getting the hang of all the variables and capabilities I will say the assembly wasn't hard and it helps to get familiar with the different aspects. The machine is a little louder than I expected but that kind of changes depending on the surface being metal, wood or etc. The engraving is fast and the motor has more power than I expected at this price level. The possibilities in regards to designs and lettering have felt endless because the precision is so fine and accurate. I feel like the assembly kind of helps to get an idea of what one has and what what can do with this machine. The well built rails, the sturdy plating, and impressive motor really come together contributing to a solid and reliable machine. The CNC machine works exactly as advertised, and everything that is included feels high-quality, matching the pictures perfectly. I've had a some fun experimenting with various materials and projects. I know some people would rather not have to use a computer in combination but I don't have any issues with that at all. Using the software and having a clear understanding of what I want and how to do it are easily had using my desktop or laptop. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this CNC machine kit. So I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great CNC machine at a entry level price to learn and appreciate. Having used this machine and loving it I now want a upgraded version and want a 3D printer so so bad. This is fantastic! ... show more

  • Good Assembly Instructions, Doesn't Include Offline Controller Nor Limit Switches
I ordered this to use as a test bed for CNC electronics experimentation in building and converting three larger CNC routers and one CNC mill to run on LinuxCNC. As such, I won’t be using this for any actual CNC projects, but this style of small and inexpensive machine allows adding and removing various parts and jigs easy and affordable. With that said, these small machines are capable of producing good results, although the projects will necessarily be small and the machining will take longer than more expensive machines. These small and inexpensive style of machines can be a good option for people who are interested in exploring CNCs but are concerned about the cash outlay for larger machines versus their ability to understand the processes involved. Another use case is to expose pre-teen and teenage children to CNCs, supervised of course. Assembly took me a bit under 1.5 hours, carefully proofreading and following the directions. The instructions were very comprehensive for the frame assembly, with only a few chenglish parts, it was less well done for wiring. The hardware was in clearly marked individual ziplock bags which made finding the specific items very easy. Negatives: No offline controller and no limit switches included, there are other brands in the same price range that include both of these. Only “V” bits were included, it would be nice to have at least a couple straight bits included. ... show more

  • Inexpensive, great starter kit.
We are still in the process of putting this together, but I have to say that it is a fun kit that can teach you a lot about CNCs. The sides and main arm are sturdy enough for the size. I have never used CNCs of this size, but I do have 3D printers and the construction on this is sturdier. Unfortunately it says that the controller does not work with Linux or Windows 11, so I either have to upgrade the controller or find an older machine. More in a bit. ... show more

  • Works great for small craft projects
I'm kind of a jack of all trades. I like to dabble in many things since I retired. I make knives and do some wood working etc. I haven't had previous experience with CNC routers but I have been wanting one. When I saw this little unit I jumped at the chance to get it. I'm still learning but so far so good. The unit seems really sturdy and well built. The accuracy is good. The instructions are clear and the machine works well, but is somewhat noisy. The motor has ample power to do any job that I've attempted so far. When I get it figured out enough to be confident I'm going to engrave a mirror frame that I built many years ago. The router came well packaged and arrived safe and sound. Really decent price on it also. ... show more

  • 3018 CNC Router Machine GRBL Control, 3 Axis Desktop Mini CNC Machine, for Plastic
This CNC router arrived in new condition, very well protected using custom cut phone patty with each component snuggly fit in its place within a generic looking branded box period the 68 page users manual offers direction in English and German. The instructions are comprehensive and include a parts list, an anatomy diagram, machine parameters, and step by step instructions accompanied by detailed diagrams. The machine appears well built from good quality parts. It engraves clean and neatly. It makes for a great entry-level router for a beginner like myself. ... show more
