Update: customer service contacted us and assessed our unit was faulty. They sent a new unit immediately! We installed it and have used it for a week. I am VERY impressed with its ability to maintain a constant temperature, allowing for frying chicken in an iron skillet without it scorching or having hot spots! At first, I was concerned about the cycling on and off, but it works well to regulate the actual temperature. The manual explained the simple use of the controls - our favorite is the whole cut off option and the lock function so no accidental starts while cleaning or not using. I wasn’t sure if it would be safe for glass cookware, so I sent a message to customer service and they responded quickly - just use a small burner, that warms up slowly (I tested with our heat gun and the middle of the large, being only 1050w, was best and boiled my eggs beautifully!). I had to get rid of our gas stovetop due to asthma and feared I wouldn’t find a comparable replacement - this one has exceeded my expectations! The only place it is different is it doesn’t cool down as quickly as gas, but it’s easy to adapt by removing from burner. I highly recommend this product, especially for the price!! Original review: As soon as turn on an element, it heats up really fast then shuts off and locks. Have not been able to keep it on for more than 3 seconds. Our electrician cannot figure it out (the manual did not help) and cannot find a way to contact the manufacturer. We really like it and think it would be great for us, if we can get it to work. ... show more

Well the cooktop is a good looking cooktop with the added silver metal trim ring. I like that the lock feature is instant lock. The issue is that instead of saying "Loc" on the controls display it only says "Lo" which is a bit confusing seeing how most people would associate "Lo" with a burner setting. The other issue is that the cooktop surface WILL scratch VERY easily! You get what you pay for. It is functional and does the job for us. At this price point I can afford to replace it three times compared to name brand units, so I can live with a few scratches. It will take a little getting used to how the controls function as well. The triple burner doesn't really give a good indication as to which size level you are at, you just have to look at it to figure it out. ... show more

UPDATE12/18 The manufacturer contacted me and sent me a brand new one free of charge and has been working great! Hopefully this one will last a lot longer then previous one did. I’d give their customer service a 5 star! Install was a breeze shows you how to wire 110v or 220v it worked great for a few months now wont turn on at all. Was great while it worked now I have to out out more money to buy a more reputable brand. ... show more

I'm most happy about how it holds temperatures, two holds a perfect simmer and nine is great for stir frying. Looks beautiful and it is easy to clean. It is not plugged in, it requires some electrical know how or preferably an electrician to install. I am very pleased with this sleek looking cooktop. Can't beat the price! Love the digital controls...so much more modern and easier to clean than those with knobs. The heating elements work great, and I like the fact that there is a small and a large burner in the front. It's very easy to clean with just a paper towel and a little dish soap, and if needed the scraper tool provided for those stickier spills. I've had it for 3 weeks and would definitely recommend it. I did purchase the Amazon 4 year warranty...just in case, since I was unfamiliar with this brand ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It looks nice and works fine I guess, but it has an "overheat protection" built in which causes the burner to shut off for a short time when it gets too hot until it cools a little then it kicks back on. This causes boiling water to stop boiling or food to stop frying until the burner kicks back on. It is very irritating and I am not thrilled at all about that feature. For that reason I would not recommend this product. ... show more
