  • Sturdy, Well Built
Size: 15 to 30 HP
This item came with very good instructions. I was somewhat surprised! Easy to follow. Very sturdy parts. One bolt hole was slightly out of place. Ran a drill bit through it and it worked fine. Tires are beefy. It’s built to be stored with removal of couple bolts. Over all, I would buy this again. You won’t go wrong with this one! ... show more

  • Very good product. Buy one size up from what you think you need.
Size: 15 to 30 HP
This is a good product. As others have said, don’t try using the directions as they’re actually a waste of assembly time. Just look very closely at the picture and make sure all tubes are oriented in the proper direction before bolting. Some tubes have only minimal yet critical differences so lay it all out on the floor before bolting. Not a big deal to assemble. All the parts were there and the fit/finish were all very good by any reasonable standards. This is not a wobbly stand/cart when fully assembled and tightened down. One recommendation is to oversized your choice of cart size. I bought the 15-30hp version for a 105 pound 10 HP outboard. I’m pretty sure the smaller one would have been inadequate despite the factory weight rating. This provides very adequate stability for use with my 10HP motors. The pneumatic wheels are pretty solid and good quality as is the axle itself. The last thing I did after final assembly was buy a $4 can of black gloss enamel spray paint to spray all the nuts/bolts/tube seams/wheels for rust prevention to extend longevity. It seems like this product should last quite a while if it’s kept out of the weather and if the bolts don’t vibrate loose if you run your engine on it. Also, as others point out, it’s not a folding cart. If you’re buying it because storage space is tight, this is not going to help your space problem. You will need space for its fully assembled footprint. The handle is the only component that folds and I suspect that is simply a feature to get the handle out of the way for additional service access to the motor while it’s on the stand. I’m pretty sure its not intended primarily as a space saving feature (but folding will save at least a few inches during storage). Besides; in my experience when it comes to wheeled carts that support and transport heavy things, folding = increasingly wobbly = eventual regret. I don’t see that happening soon with this cart. Would definitely buy it again. ... show more

  • We upsized.
Size: 15 to 30 HP
We have a 10hp motor but want good strength and stability. We upsized to the 30 hp model. Pretty easy to build. All the parts were there. The instruction drawings were challenging in spots but coupled with the written directions it went together quickly.

  • Just Follow The Instructions
Size: 15 to 30 HP
Fully capable of supporting my 130# 20 HP Honda long shaft. I think the problem some folks (including me!) have had was that we anticipated it would need to be assembled a certain way which proved to be wrong - despite the well phrased and well illustrated instructions. The first and best advice they give is "assemble it loosely at first". That way, when you finally decide to follow the instructions it is simple to undo/redo some of the connections. Bottom line: Properly assembled, it is both solid and mobile. You have the choice of assembling it as a portable/foldable unit (it folds perfectly flat in that configuration) or a more-rigid non-folding unit. I recommend the latter for heavy engines. It's good stuff, worthy of its price. I wish it was US-made rather than China-made, but that's our fault: US-made would cost half again as much. ... show more

  • Outboard Motor Stand
Size: 15 to 30 HP
The cart was not easy to put together allot of parts and instructions not so great. Mine was missing the 2 LUG NUTS for the tires (VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THESE PARTS, CART IS USELESS WITHOUT THEM THE TIRES WILL FALL OFF) got lucky and found the lug nuts at an auto parts store. This will probably not happen to you but just had to put it out there. ONLY THE HANDLE FOLDS DOWN!! Cart does hold the gas can but not to securely and you need to remove the gas can prior to taking the motor off the cart or the cart will fall over. Overall it's a strong cart holds my 6hp Nissan motor 56 pounds securely. I would recommend it but if your not mechanically inclined be warned! I gave 4 stars only because of assembly. I beleive the LUG NUT issue was just a factory error. Good cart for the price, buy it. ... show more

  • Good idea. Could be better. Sturdy
Size: 15 to 30 HP
This engine stand seems fairly sturdy for what it was. The price was decent at only $100. Putting it together was OK. The instructions were decent better than Some other instructions I have seen. My complaint about this particular unit is the screw and knobs to tighten the handle up, so that it can be folded up the nuts seem to be welded to the wrong side of the metal poles. So when you tighten it with the knobs, all it does is tighten the knob to the nut and the end of the screw on the knob barely sticks out into the hole at the end of it, making it a loose fitting on the handle so when you pull the handle up and down the handle will move up and down by an inch because it doesn’t actually tighten anything. I may weld a nut on the other side, just to make this better for my use. Works OK as is but could be a better design. My Yamaha 9.9 is rather light and only 100 pounds it has no problem with the smaller size engine. ... show more

  • Great for hauling and moving heavy outboard
Size: 15 to 30 HP
Have a 8 hp merc 4 stroke that.is.just heavy enough to blow a knee or back out if hauling around by hand. I now can easily load it into my truck where it can be easily secured then unloaded.and wheeled to the dock up to my boat where previously I had to hand carry over slippery/ heavily rooted terrain. Just makes everything so much easier. Love it. May replace wheels with larger air tires to make it even easier to move in not so forgiving terrain but the ones on it are fine. ... show more

  • Heavy Duty
Size: 15 to 30 HP
I had a homemade rickety stand that tipped over twice and broke the shifter arm on my Tohatsu 6HP outboard. Thought about fabricating one out of wood, but it wouldn't be mobile and as sturdy as the one I bought. I also had a 3.3 HP Mercury Outboard and I decided to order the same mobile stand for it too. Really pleased with with both of the stands. Now I can wheel the outboards to my boats and just lift them on to the kicker stand on the boat. Assembly was simple and the directions were easy to follow. ... show more
