    • The structure and routine that I needed to whip things back into shape!
You would think that, as someone who works from home, I would have more time to clean and organize my house. Not so! I found that being here all of the time had made me "house blind." Plus, whenever a decision needed to be made about doing chores or working on the business, the business won every time. I tried another "home cleaning & organization system" and it just led me to feeling overwhelmed, guilty and inadequate. This 30 day plan is different. It's simple, straightforward, well organized and not the least bit gushy or preachy. It's practical enough that even my husband is on board. He and I split the tasks on the Daily Whole House Tidy Routine and we alternate rooms each day so there's no more excuses for "house blindness" as one of us always catches what the other may have missed the previous day. We divided and conquered the Daily Cleaning, Organizing and Maintenance tasks so neither of us had the chance to get overwhelmed (or lazy). The results have been fantastic. Although it may take us another 30 days to really get out ahead of things, we're really enjoying our freshly cleaned and organized home.     • This is my favorite cleaning/organizing book of all
This is my favorite cleaning/organizing book of all, and I've owned quite a few. I think why this book makes such a huge difference for me and my house is that it incorporates maintaining, cleaning and organizing each day. While I don't have time to accomplish every thing laid out in the book on a daily basis, just doing the regular daily maintenance jobs make a huge difference. I find it easier with our huge family and busy days to break each day, as Katie has detailed, into two days - doing dailies and cleaning one day and dailies and organizing the next. I've followed a lot of plans over the past 24 years, including flylady, and this one just works best for me. My mom and my married daughter also have copies and both love it. ... show more

I can’t believe it but this little book has changed my life. I also can’t believe that I’m 64 years old and I never really knew how to keep my house clean until now! I have to admit that I haven’t followed the plan exactly because some of the tasks I had already done, but I’m religious about the daily cleaning routine and even making my own cleaning products, which is something I never thought I would do! ... show more

    • My house has never looked better
This system is exactly what I needed to actually do the cleaning. I mean, I know HOW to clean a house - I just don't DO it. Having a clearly organized, logical plan is what makes the difference. The Daily Routine can be accomplished in just a few minutes. The biggest lesson I learned here is that like anything else in life, preparation is key. Spend some time getting the products and equipment you need (which are minimal) and make sure they're available in the right places. I now have the homemade all-purpose cleaner spray bottle and cleaning rags under every sink - why not? It's inexpensive and makes it just that much more likely I'll take 2 minutes to clean the bathroom sink in the morning. The larger daily cleaning tasks are less overwhelming because you just deal with one at a time. The order in which they're done is very clever, they build up so that things STAY clean for longer, and you're not undoing your work by making a mess somewhere else. Both of us work full-time, and there's no way we can go through this in 30 days, but that's OK - the house looks better than ever, the Daily Routine keeps it maintained, so I don't mind if it takes 60 days or 90. ... show more

    • I am very glad I purchased this book.
This book is so helpful! The author mentions several times throughout the book to not pressure yourself to get everything done in the 30 days. Many people would have no time to do anything else some days other than just clean and organize if they were to follow the plan exactly. But the way everything is laid out, you can pause when and where you need to and then pick back up as soon as you can, even if your cleaning sessions can’t be on consecutive days. I actually enjoyed just reading through this book, and I can see that it is very thorough and seems to really get you through the whole house. I have begun working through it and I really enjoy the step by step talk-through that makes it feel like a friend is right there with me encouraging me to go on to the next step.     • Changes my life! I have tried every plan....
Thank you so much! I just have to thank you again. I am a perfectionist and I get overwhelmed very easily. Especially if I feel like I can’t do everything the way I want. So in turn I will end up doing nothing. Our house is always clean enough but I wanted more. I want a story book.:) I have tried every routine! All of them, only to be confused and lost, or overwhelmed even more. I read your book and loved it! It made sense....it took me a while to get started because I was avoiding that spice cabinet! I finally made myself after some coffe and music & was shocked at what I found and excited to do more!!! I am going to use your whole book as my guide. My plan is to work through the 30 days over and over each month. If something is still clean I will just move to the next day after checking it over. That way I literally never deep clean again!
