Honest Review : Superior cutter over the rest. I have tested several silhouette cameo 4 cutters Chinese and vendor brand. This one is far superior to them all, quality anodized aluminum holder, ease of use , and superior cut quality. This fits perfect in the cameo 4 1st or 2nd slot without the plastic holders, direct fit and recognized by machine. Cutter has a ball detent style lock for height adjustment, this keeps blade locked with no movement. Far superior to the screw adjust style that can move. Easy top push pin for blade eject. Do not have to take apart like other styles. The replaceable blade come in 3 different angles and are inexpensive to replace. You can get box of 50 cheap. No directions on Set up. So here you go. Insert blade in bottom, turn dial to adjust to lowest height. If you blade does not go low enough on lowest setting you have to loosen the small mm Allen screw. Its in the turn height dial with the numbers. Once loose you can turn the small brass screw on top where the eject plunger is. turn in or out to desired height and then tighten the set screw back. now ready to cut. Hope this helps with set up directions. I have tested cutting thick vinyl, Do low force (around 15 on force settings) 2 or 3 pass cuts , not 1 pass for thick. Thin stuff 7 to 9 force on setting. I even cut up to .02mm thick metal copper sheets. Cut great. For the review above on not knowing how to put blade in ,It only has 1 blade hole ? It only goes in 1 hole. That easy. It will work even without doing the adjustments listed above in my directions. The set up just makes it perfect with flush blade at lowest setting. I have heavily tested this and no issue with internal spring or not cutting correctly.

I purchased this to use on my Cameo 5. The housing fits perfectly and will lock into place, however Silhouette would not detect it as a 2mm so I had to use it as a 1mm. The housing is a quality piece. I used the 60degree blade to try to cut card stock (both 80 and 110 pound. Although it is a great price for the value, and was easy to use, it did not function well with thick card stock.

The media could not be loaded. Buying this blade was my last ditch effort for a cheaper blade alternative before just giving up and resorting to buying the expensive silhouette premium blades. I had previously purchased multiple cb09 blades and a Roland style blade holder off Etsy from a seller in the UK which was more expensive and not well made ( no where near as good as this Roland style blade holder.) My frustration with those blade types were really working my last nerve. I cut many different types of materials but I didn’t want to buy a holder for each type and reset it every-time I had to change the blade or material all because it takes what seemed like hundreds of test cuts to adjust the blade just right and having to increase force or do multiple passes all the time, and also dealing with the holders not sitting right in the carriage and scratching up my vinyls to the point where I would just get so pissed off. I finally decided to give this blade holder a try and I’m so glad I did. You just drop the blade in and adjust it and you’re done! No messing around with set screws. It fits directly in the first carriage of my cameo 5 without any adapters and my cameo recognized it immediately as a 1mm blade. The fit is perfect, not too tight, not too loose and it doesn’t drag! To change the blade you just hit the plunge button on top and drop a new one in. The blade settings are very accurate. I attached a video and a photo of my first cut with it and was so impressed. I used circuit premium vinyl which I hate as it’s so thick and usually takes me 2-3 passes to cut on a cb09 with a new blade. This cut it perfect in 1 pass. The blades that came with it are really good. I did see this blade holder on Amazon and had thought about buying it before purchasing all those other 3rd party blade holders but I ended up passing it up because of the very mixed reviews. I’m so happy I changed my mind and just bought it, I only wish I went with my gut instinct the first time and bought this instead of wasting a bunch of time and money on other blade holders I didn’t even end up liking despite the thousands of reviews praising the cb09 blades. Don’t listen to the bad reviews it’s a very easy blade to operate. 10/10 would recommend!

The housing fits well in my Sihlouette 5. Have changed out the blades many times without any issues. I do think the blades are not the best quality only because I am having to change them out more often than I have had to in the past. I will try better blades with the housing next time.

This does not fit Cameo 2,3, or 4. This ii probably only for a cricut(I don’t have one to compare), but NOT a silhouette. Which I know are not the same, but the description claims it will fit them all.

So glad I tried this, even though I didn't believe the Redditor that said it would work! YOU DO NOT NEED A SILHOUETTE ADAPTER FOR THIS BLADE. The few 1 star reviews are from people that are trying to stick this blade into an adapter. You do not need one. It goes straight into the Cameo 4 or Cameo 5 blade housing and the machine will work on the Manual blade setting. Like all after market blades, you may need to do some adjustments to get the correct cut, but that is to be expected

Amazing alternative to the trash auto and premium blades from silhouette, my issue with those blades is that they weren’t good at making sharp edges for smaller designs so when I used this blade with the 45° blade I was amazed on how clean and crisp the cuts were. These blades are far superior and would definitely recommend, Insanely good price too.

Works for my Cameo 4. You need to adjust the blade from the top buttom manually. May take a little adjustment to get it correct but works.
