Using this for my cnc machine and it works amazingly well. I was using carpet tape previously but it was very hard to remove and left residue everywhere. Even at pretty high speeds, it doesn't seem to deflect at all unlike the thicker carpet tape. The tape holds strong laterally, it even was able to hold HDPE down to my table with no slippage. It's easy to remove as well with just some a small pry tool designed for cell phone repair the piece came up and the tape came off easily. It left a little residue where the bit had cut through the material into the spoilboard but I used a small section of tape to dab up the residue with no problems. I would recommend trying to avoid cutting through the tape as it does gum up the cutter a bit, but its easy enough to clean with some goo gone. Using for temporarily bonding a master template to a workpiece needing duplication; where a trim routing bit with a bearing runs over the template to cut an exact outline on the attached blank. The thin-ness of this tape keeps master template very close to ‘daughter’ piece, yet holds strongly. (Love the 60’s-ish label on the roll, too.) ... show more

    • Really hard to cut but works well

So far I have had success using this tape, it does stick fairly well but on smaller areas I have noticed it will have some movement in the straight edge piece. I think this is because it's kind of thick but also I think it is because this tape is really difficult to cut, its so stick that even a fresh razor only gets a few clean cuts before the blade is gummed up. This causes the tape to roll onto itself during the cut and reduces adhesion and also makes it thicker in the corners. Most likely I will try a different brand next time. ... show more

I have a CNC router that I use a couple times a day at work, started out using regular CNC T slot clamp and switched to CA glue and blue tape, thought this setup great and fast, this tape goes on fast and hold strong even on a 3 hour job and removes quickly and does not leave any residue on your project, I even pre tape the next piece before hand, my router doesn't even have time to cool off, try it you will love it. ... show more

I bought this to use on my desktop CNC projects, and finally got around to using it. It is easy to attach and the backing peels right off. The backing is sturdy, so you won't have to mess with it tearing where you don't want it to. The tape holds the project securely during machining, and it removes cleanly with no residue. Has good tack, but is more of a gummy adhesive. It climbs CNC bits & leaves gum & chips stuck to cut walls. Might be good for large items. Makes more cleanup work for intricate through cuts. Gears are a nightmare to clean after cutting. Was even difficult to cut from the roll with scissors. Has a woven core, likely roll coated with gum adhesive. It not as clean or easy as laid fiber or paper cores with less elastic, more plastic adhesives. ... show more
