    • Back clips work, but can break
Needed to replace the back clip on my Valve Index headset, as I had taken the original off and could not get it to reattach. On my first attempt with one of these clips, maybe I did something wrong, but the tab snapped right off, so I had to throw that one away. Luckily, 3 clips are included, and on the second attempt I was able to get it to attach immediately. So, mixed results, but ultimately it worked for me and it seems to be holding the cable securely now. Didn't try the front clips yet, but they seem pretty close to the design of the original. No instructions are included at all, so you have to figure out how it fits, but luckily it's not super hard. Just look up some videos of people replacing clips on their Index if you aren't sure how to attach them. ... show more

    • Why doesn’t Valve make and sell these?
The plastic clips that hold the cable on my Index broke. I was irritated to realize the for some reason Valve doesn’t sell these replacements themselves. Not only do these replace the original clips, but the “temple clip” is genuinely an improved design over the original because it’s actually replaceable! The print lines aren’t too noticeable, and the color matches quite well. They feel pretty strong, and since you get 3 sets, I’m considering breaking one just to see how much force it takes, but they seem strong enough to do the job.
