It was difficult for me to judge from some reviews. I believe because the review may have not actually been for this product. My experience is that they were well made with no apparent quality issues. The installation instructions were great, and did require the use of quick terminals (supplied) that are called janitors in the instructions. The only tools required are a screwdriver, pliers, and a 12/14mm wrench. The kit includes the wrench and all other hardware. I did have to supply some larger wire splice caps as I had more connections with one light. I used 60watt 800 lumen led dimmable bulbs and they put out plenty of light. The media could not be loaded. We ordered these lights twice because we enjoyed the first set and the second set that came in the finishes and edges seemed a bit different than the first set. It’s really frustrating to order a product that you like that comes in looking different from the first set. We’re hopeful that if we order a third set, it would look like the first set with the similar finishes as a first one. The second set also shows a lot of welding marks, watch the video.
