The mattress pad is soft, not noisy, fit my bed well and in general fine, so I did a water-stain test on it using a mixture of cranberry juice and water at room temperature. I dropped a small amount on a corner from holding it in a straw before releasing the fluid, and at first I was impressed with how much it bounced and beaded up and just sat on top. I had a paper towel at the ready and lightly blotted it off the pad, and MOST came off but not all. There were a few pink spots where it had soaked through the top layer of the mattress pad, which I found troubling. So I did some further research on what is perceived that makes a good waterproof mattress pad to protect your mattress and many evidently are NOT fully waterproof, and furthermore they lose much of that ability to repel fluids through laundering so I have to realize this is just probably going to get worse. I do have another waterproof mattress pad by a different manufacturer of different fabrics, and I dribbled the same onto it and it ran right off, very quickly. But it did leave a wet feeling on the surface but it had not penetrated through the pad to the underside liner at all. My research warned to be wary of inexpensive waterproof protectors and I really wouldn't feel comfortable thinking this would protect puppy accidents or other spills perhaps from children. We are without dogs/children so it will still serve as some protection for my mattress so all is not lost for me. But keep in mind the saying, "you get what you pay for" and I'm not sold on this one's ability to be totally waterproof. It will offer some protection but is that all that is needed? Not impressed.

This waterproof mattress cover fit the bed perfectly and was easy to put on. I got it as a precaution since my elderly mom lives with me, and while it hasn’t had to prove itself yet, it feels like solid protection. For the price, it’s a smart investment—definitely cheaper than replacing a mattress.

As a dad to a young son, I can’t believe I went this long without a padded and waterproof mattress cover! Kids can be unpredictable—spills, accidents, and late-night snacks happen more often than I’d like to admit. This cover has been a lifesaver, keeping the mattress completely dry and stain-free. Good mattress topper. This gave new life to an older mattress. We thought we would give this a try before investing in a new mattress because the bed is used only for guests.(holidays). We were pleasantly surprised that it made such a difference. It saved us money! We did air it out for a couple of days before putting it on the bed which served two, purposes, it fluffed up and the smell was greatly reduced.

Very nice cushioned mattress topper. Filled with a mix of hypoallergenic down alternative and pieces of memory foam. It makes for a wonderfully soft, supportive topper that you can sink into comfortably. The mattress was good without it, but now it feels LUXURIOUS! I am incredibly pleased with this product. We got this Queen Size Waterproof Mattress Protector to use on the bed in our farm stay cabin to help protect the mattress from any accidents. It fits perfectly, with deep pockets that stay in place. It has a little bit of padding, but that wasn’t a deciding factor for us. It washed up nicely, with no shrinkage or issues after the first wash. We haven’t tested the waterproof feature yet, but we hope it holds up if needed. If it fails, we will update. So far, it seems like a solid addition to our farm stay setup, adding an extra layer of protection without changing the feel of the mattress.

I'm not sure exactly how I should rate this product, since the description and images here do not fit the product I ordered. I wanted a mattress protector that fits like a fitted sheet. That is what I received. However, the description here is of a 3" padded mattress topper. While it does have a small amount of padding on top, it is nowhere near 3". In fact, I wouldn't even call it "padding". It is simply enough padding to make it feel soft and comfortable. The material never crinkles or makes noise when you move around. It is waterproof, so perfect for small children, or if you have pets that sleep in your bed with you. Honestly, the feel of the protector is so soft, you could actually lay down directly on it, without putting a sheet over it, if you really wanted to. It's about as soft as a thin blanket, which I was pleasantly surprised about. I have a very thick, pillow top mattress, and this cover easily fit. It is very stretchy, and capable of fitting a regular mattress, or thick pillow tops, like mine. I have already put it to the test, since I have a 17 year old furbaby that does have accidents from time to time. It effectively protected my mattress from any stain or wetness. I was able to throw it in my washing machine and put it back on my mattress. I'm not sure how many washes it would hold up to, but I believe it should last a while. Still, this is something I think you should expect to need to replace fairly frequently, mostly if stains on it will bother you. While it does come clean, it does leave a bit of a stain in the soiled area. Still, I am very happy with it, and would order again. I would recommend this protector to anyone that needs one.
