It is very comparable to my last expensive one. Very faint smell, all new toppers will have a smell. It puffed up right away. It’s a little bigger than my queen mattress but that’s ok makes my bed feel bigger and covers the sides. It feels like a cloud. It is just right amount of firmness but is very soft/plush. Even though it’s plush and 4in it’s easy to move around and you do not sink in. All around perfect!! Very happy with this.

Despite what other reviewers have said this mattress did have a smell for about a week. After that no problem. It is SO comfortable to sleep on. The only problem is it is hot to sleep on. We fixed that by buying a mattress topper with 1" cotton fill and that keeps it from being so hot. We have been sleeping on it this summer without any problems.

I'm very pleased with the purchase as the pad is soft but has a nice firm feel in my opinion. So it's perfect for what I need. Many times I have to buy another waffle pad on top so I don't get hot from laying on the pad or because the pad is so thick I sink into it. This one worked out well for me. The only negative thing is that the chemical smell on it was so strong I had to let it air out for 4 days outside. I don't notice it now though so it's fine.

I got this topper to go on top of my springy old mattress and it’s improved my quality of sleep a ton. You definitely need to let it sit out after opening in order to let it expand. It looks too small at first but just give it a day or two and it’ll be just right.
