When you first open it, it stinks. They caution you to open outside but I just opened my bedroom window and put the ceiling fan on for a few hours. Smell was gone pretty quickly. It’s very soft.     • Definitely helped my back pain
This 3 " gel memory foam mattress pad is the best buy. I have been suffering from mid to upper back pain for a couple months now. Usually my chiropractor fixes any back pain I have but this time it wasn't working. The only time I had bad pain was about 3am every night where I had to get out of bed as I couldn't lay any longer from the pain. I started to think perhaps it was my bed. I couldn't afford a new bed so I searched online for a mattress pad to see if that would help. I finally chose this pad with hopes it would help. On receiving the box the instructions said to unwrap and unroll and let it lay flat for 48 hours before use. Once the 48 hours was up it was ready to use. The pad has 4 straps on each corner to hold it secure to your bed mattress. This now makes your bed pretty tall so I suggest getting oversize sheets to fit well. I was Looking forward to going to bed that night I prayed I wouldn't have to get up at 3am again. Well it worked! I love this pad. It saved me from having to spend a lot of money that I don't have. My daughter was going off to college and i wanted to get her a mattress cover for her dorm bed. college beds can be really cheap, uncomfortable, and thin making it really hard to get good sleep. She went the first week without a topper and slept terribly. i decided to get her this mattress topper and she loves it! she gets amazing sleep with this topper. she loves the elastic clips that hold the topper in place. this prevents it from shifting, slipping, and sliding off her bed. the topper is made of memory foam, it’s amazing quality! the memory foam is three inches thick and provides a lot of extra cushion that form beds don’t provide. the memory foam allows her body to sync perfectly into place leaving no discomfort. the cover makes it super easy to clean! there is a removable cover that can be just tossed into the washer and dryer. this topper provides amazing support and allows my daughter to get good, comfortable sleep. i highly recommend! ... show more

I have chronic back pain that requires surgery, finding relief isn't easy.
