My ventilation setup is terrible. I’ve burned out two dryers because of how quickly my vent would clog no matter how often I cleaned it out. I got a brand new dryer yesterday and even with a clean vent it immediately stopped the first cycle and gave me an error “flow sense” code for an interrupted flow/block. I bought this out of frustration and a little desperation to make something work. It took me about a half hour by myself to set it up. Instructions are very straight forward, the hardest part was just working with my limited space. The air flow is STRONG and I did an entire load without the flow error code. I’m absolutely thrilled. It’s ugly and will no doubt heat up my house a bit but it works and now I’m less likely to burn out this dryer quickly or my house. As annoying as the error code was it’s nice this dryer was advanced enough to tell me there was an issue and now it’s resolved.

I’ve just hung it up and used it once so far. It was easy and fast to install, and I am happy with the results after drying my first load. The filter is very easy to take out and clean. Since it comes with three filters I expect them to last a long time.

It works pretty well. It does what it's supposed to do, for the most part. My unit was missing the weights, so the safety vent stays open and I'm getting some lint escaping the vent thru the safety vent. I've contacted the manufacturer/seller and requested them to send me the weights. If they send the weights, I'll update my review to a 5 star. Cleaning the filter is a breeze, and the extra filters are a nice touch. They clean so easily I don't see a need for a ton of extras, but having some in case of a failure of some kind is nice. UPDATE - Weights received. Manufacturer/seller was very responsive. If you need one of these, buy this one. It's great!

I've only used it a couple of times but it seems to be doing the trick. I have a clogged (disconnected in the drywall) dryer hose. I am using this temporarily as a quick fix. It seems to be working like a charm. Easy to install, seemingly good quality. Happy so far and gave it 4 stars just because I have only used it 2 times.

So far, really happy with this. I've run several loads over two weeks. Ultimately, this is a temporary solution for me until I can fix my vent stack. Lint is drastically reduced from how I had it before. I check the water bin and filter after each load. I cleaned the filter once, but didn't really need to yet.

I ordered this item because expelling the hot air from the dryer to outside is a waste of energy and while drying clothes cold outside air is needed to replace the air the dryer uses. This in turn causes the furnace to run and heat the cold replacement air. Additionally, we use a humidifier during the cold months. So, it seems wasteful to force hot humid air from our home while drying clothes and then heating the cold dry replacement air and then humidifying it too. It's a win win to use this product. I was impressed by the products packaging and heavy duty quality of the construction. It is large and finding a good place to mount it is a bit tricky. I was able to mount it above the dryer because if it's too close to the lower back of the dryer, then hot humid air will recirculate and the dryer will be less efficient. Our dryer is next to the furnace, so we switch on the furnace blower from the thermostat to draw the hot humid away from the dryer and circulate it throughout the house. The humidifier soon shuts off because the home's humidity increases. The less the humidifier runs, the fewer wicks it goes through, another benefit. The water in the item's drawer actually collects almost all lint that makes it to the filter unit so the fiber filter stays mostly clean. All in all I think this product is well built, well packaged, and after doing a bit of math I find it will most likely pay for itself in one winter. A large family with lots of laundry will probably see a full return on the investment within several months. And for those wondering, I will disconnect this unit and reconnect the dryer to the outdoor vent again when furnace usage declines in the spring.

I had some issues with the dryer ducting under my house, and rather than spending the time replacing everything immediately, I decided to use the FUNMAS Indoor Dryer Vent as a temporary solution until I could get a permanent repair. Installation was very easy, and the unit takes up almost no space. My washer and dryer are located in a small closet with the water heater, so space is limited and this was a big plus. Once installed, it looked good, and I was excited to put it to the test. Before running a load of laundry, I ran the dryer empty to check the airflow both with and without the filter. Airflow was good, and I was actually impressed with how much lint and debris the filter collected. It seemed to be catching things that otherwise might have made their way out through the duct. The problem became apparent when I ran my first actual load of laundry. I set the dryer to its normal settings, closed the laundry room door, and let it run. After about 20 minutes, I came back to find the room saturated with moisture. This was something I simply hadn’t considered when using an indoor vent. I checked the water trap on the FUNMAS, but there was little to no water collected. At first, I thought I might have installed the filter incorrectly, but after checking everything, the installation was correct. Other than the moisture issue, the vent itself worked well. I had to leave the laundry room door open while the dryer was running and periodically wipe down the walls to deal with the condensation. It ultimately did its job and worked well enough to get me through until I could install a permanent vent. As a temporary solution, I would recommend the FUNMAS if you don’t have other options. Just be aware that an indoor dryer vent can introduce a significant amount of moisture into the room, especially when using high-heat settings. For that reason, I personally would not use it as a permanent solution unless absolutely necessary.
