This is really nice stuff. It is quite thin (maybe an 1/8 inch) so it is not much in the way of insulation. However the foil backing should help in that regard. Where this underlayment shines is the acoustic properties. It is a thin layer of EVA (like neoprene) and it is very quiet to walk on. It is well made and has both an overlap edge of foil (to lap the seam between pieces) as well as a tape edge on the other side to tape that foil overlap down. This makes a very effective vapor barrier. That's important to me as I plan to use this over a concrete floor at my cabin. Great product for an underlayment.

I was impressed right away when I opened the acoustic premium floor underlayment. I could see and feel the high quality of the product right away. This is a large 200 square foot roll, that is 3 mm thick. It is 43 and 1/4 inches wide. I have a large living room that is over 20 feet long. The wide width makes it fast and easy to install. It has an attached lip tape to also make installation fast and easy. It is easy to cut and customize to the size of the room. I have a raised house set up on concrete blocks that surround the perimeter of the house, and the floors get rather cold in the winter. I ordered the floor underlayment to put under laminate flooring. It helps a great deal to insulate my floors to keeps my floors warmer and it helps to cut down on my heating expense. It creates significant sound reduction to the floors. I really appreciate this especially with pets as it quiets the sound when they run and play in the house. It provides extra cushion as well to make the floors feel more comfortable to walk on. It is made of anti-microbial material, so it resists mold which is important to me to keep my home healthy. It provides a moisture barrier to give protection to my floors. I am especially pleased with the price of $70 dollars at the time I write this review with a 10% discount offered. It is incredibly affordable and economical to provide an upgrade to my flooring, and I expect over time it will pay for itself with the savings on my electrical bill. I am so happy I ordered the HOLNURY 3-1 Acoustic Premium Floor Underlayment and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This floor underlayment covers a lot more than I expected. I used it over the concrete floor in my unfinished basement and was surprised by how much area one roll handled. There is a slight foam smell when you first open it, but it’s not too strong and didn’t bother me much. It’s easy to cut and lay down. There’s a thin strip of double sided tape on the bottom, but I didn’t find it very helpful. I ended up using my own thicker carpet tape to keep things in place. It can be a little tricky to get it perfectly flat. It tends to lift in some spots and doesn’t always look completely smooth. That might just be because I’m using it as a temporary cover in an unfinished space. I tested a sample patch of vinyl wood flooring on top, and it made a big difference. The floor felt more supported and didn’t have that hollow, empty sound when stepping on it. Because of that, I’m pretty confident it’ll work well as an underlay & I will definitely be using this when I finish the basement in a budget way. Overall, it’s a solid product with great coverage and does what it’s meant to do.

This acoustic foam underlayment is a solid product and works very well for flooring projects. It arrived rolled up neatly and was packaged in a way that made it easy to handle and unroll. Once laid out on the floor, it flattened out nicely and was very easy to position and install. The material has a nice heavy weight to it, which makes it feel like good quality rather than something thin or flimsy. It stays in place well while you are working with it, and it feels durable enough to hold up under flooring. Overall, it performs exactly as expected. It is easy to work with, feels well made, and does the job effectively. For the quality you get, I also feel it is priced fairly. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a dependable acoustic underlayment.

This Product smells really bad!!! When unpacking there is a very intensive smell that doesn’t go away who knows what kind of chemical chemicals they’re using. I can’t recommend this at all.

Roll lays out flat without much curling. 3mm thickness provides noticeable cushioning under flooring. Silver foil layer works as a moisture barrier. EVA material feels consistent and easy to cut. Helps reduce footstep noise compared to no underlayment. Lightweight but durable during install. Covers a full 200 sqft as advertised. Good all in one option for laminate or floating floors.

I got this to use as a thermal barrier for a crawlspace hip wall. Not the original intention I know, but if I were using it for flooring it is a little on the thin side. It had no smell when I rolled it out. It cuts easily with a set of shears/knife and sticks well with tape. Good the money, it gives a little extra boost of insulation that I was looking for and makes the space I worked in nicer. Easy to use..
