Assembly Instructions Description: To set up the tent, first lay a tarp down and place the floor mat and internal tent on the footprint. Insert the four corners of the assembled aluminum poles into the four bottom corners of the tent. Buckle each buckle of the internal tent to the poles and cover with the external flysheet, ensuring the doors are aligned. Use ground nails to secure the four corners of the footprint, maintaining a 45°-60° angle with the ground. Insert the tent poles into the corresponding flaps, forming an X shape. Attach the rainfly using windproof ropes and ground nails, ensuring it is properly tightened to maintain space between the external and internal tents.

Great tent! Typical two pole arch tent, good material and easy to setup. very light.The base is well built and the corners are nicely reinforced. It's two layers, so the rain fly is seperate which is great for warm weather camping. The aluminum poles stood very strong and did not bend or hold the curve after take down. Zippers are very smooth, while not super heavy duty it is what you would expect from a backpack tent. I actually fit a twin size mattress inside (not a blow up, an actual mattress) just to see if I could and had room to spare. Had some minor rain and it stayed dry. Anyone that knocks this tent expects to much from a temporary fabric shelter at the Benjamin Franklin price point. I would buy again. Based on first use, as long as you handle it respectfully in normal conditions I expect a good 50-60 setup and teardowns without any failure of zippers, straps or clips. ... show more

For the price, this is an amazing tent, and I highly recommend it for summer camping. The rain fly doesn't leak, and without the rain fly, you have a lovely view through an open screen above you all night. It is fast and easy to set up, and while not the lightest weight tent I have, it is quite light and easy to carry. Also, it has a great packing bag, and wonderful details like a strap that goes around and secures the tent after you roll it up and before you try to put it into the bag. This tent was designed by people who actually camp. There are downsides, even if I give this 5 stars. For me, the 5 stars is a rating for the price point and the functionality of the tent. I can tell I will get a few good years out of this tent at least, probably more. For the price point, I can't imagine asking for more, especially when I have had more expensive tents that I have been less pleased by. The downsides I see are: Seams are not perfectly stitched. I found wrinkles stitched into the interior zipper edges, a couple of places where the stitch lines crossed or a stitch pulled out, etc. This is on a close inspection, and after a few trips out in the tent, none of these minor faults impact the function of the tent at all. Warmth of the tent is not as high as the photos may try to lead you to believe. There is no way this tent will work for anyone in the winter. It is however, warm enough for spring and fall if you have an appropriate sleeping bag and pad. My kids and I were pretty cold when it got down to 45 degrees overnight, but we had mostly summer weight gear. ... show more

It is an amazing tent, super easy to set up and take down, weight is so light and easy to carry, had hard rain and wind and it didn’t move an inch and we stayed dry the hole time. My only complain is it is only a 2 person tent. The outside panels are not long enough to fit your backpacks and you can’t fit any of your backpacking gear inside with u. Only enough room for our thin backpacking matress, your sleeping bags and you. So if you want to keep your gear safe in your tent with u def go to a 4 person tent. But other than that for the price and how well it held up to high wind and rain this is an awesome option! ... show more

I took this tent out to Big Bend National Park for a backpacking trip on the Chisos Basin trail. I had no issues with it and it has several small features that can really make or break a tent. It’s easy to set up, and there are no plastic clips to break. The poles run through fabric sleeves instead. It has a door on either side, so if you’re sleeping two people, you don’t have to crawl over someone to get out. The rain fly buckles into the corners and it comes well past the bottom of the tent. The zipper handles are glow-in-the-dark. It’s very spacious for one person, and you could fit two people without much issue. The tent fabric itself is good quality. The bag that holds the tent actually rolls up at the end and buckles together for a nice little handle. I used to have an REI Clipper but sold it when I moved out of state. I've done a whole lot of camping and backpacking in colorado. This tent is a great value for the money. Marketed as a 4-season tent but not really a 4-season although one could fabricate a tarp structure over this tent and it would work. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a well designed tent, free standing, easy to put up. And has 2 doors and a great roomy vestibule. Pockets for the screen doors when opened, a compression strap for storage which doubles as a a way to keep fly open and secure. Has a light hanger built-in as well as 2 ceiling vents in the fly which are very well designed. Plus nice quality aluminum poles, bags for stakes, poles and a great bag for the tent. Ive also used it through rain storms (it's amazing) and temperatures all the way from 29 F to 85 F which its all been perfect for too!!     • A decent first tent to buy
This product is as advertised when it comes to the color, and weight of the overall package. The base of the tent is a bit too thin, and it does not come with a footprint. The good: 1. Product is light weight, and fits nicely within a large backpack. Makes it the ideal tent if you are planning on hiking around with your backpack. 2. Reasonable price. 3. Assembly is extremely simple, and quick. As a beginner, it took me less than ten minutes to set it up fully. 4. The tent appears waterproof; held up pretty well when we had light showers. The bad: 1. The overall tent design can do with some improvement in terms of ventilation. While condensation is typically common, we had an incredible amount of condensation inside, which left the floor and the sides quite wet. 2. The stakes are quite flimsy, and got bent out of shape when they were pushed into relatively soft soil. In contrast, our friends' tents which were much cheaper had no such issues. 3. Tent walls, and floor are super thin, so the tent doesn't keep you too warm. If you plan on camping in the shoulder season (temps below 50 deg F), ensure you have very warm sleeping bags! 4. There were no instructions on how to use the guy lines! While you can find that out thru a quick online search, first time users may struggle with it when they set up camp in a remote area with no phone reception. ... show more

Easy to assemble. No instructions but it is intuitive. I gave it a 4 star on durability but it is really prolly a 3. Prolly a 5 star in its price range. Everything works as expected. Quality appears reasonable You can't be rough or abusive with a lightweight tent in this price range, but it looks durable with care. A single width queen air mattress fits inside with a foot to spare. 3 seasons if you tough and love to camp. 4 seasons if you are Jebediah Johnson. We might use it winter with an additional plastic painter's tarp under the rain fly and several blankets under the queen. All tents will leak if water pools under them. Leaking floors is the user's fault. Careful site selection and digging shallow trenches to divert rainwater will prevent it. ... show more
