  • Two Stage Filtering and drying
Size: 1/2"NPT, Munual Drain Color: 3 Stage
I have this unit in service ahead of a spindle that requires cooling air. This unit does a great job cleaning and drying the air before it heads into my very expensive piece of equipment. Easy to see if the desiccant needs to be changed, and easy to adjust the regulator. Great unit for the money.

  • Florida humidity
Let me walk you thru this. I have a new Quincy 60gal compressor here in FL. Humidity on niceest winter day is 40% but other 8 months it’s usually around 80%~95%. I installed an automatic drain that purges the tank for a 4sec interval every 5-10 min to remove moisture inside the tank. My inlet port is 1/2” into the 4 stage dryer and my exit 1/2” port is reduced to 1/4” fitting for the 3/8” air hose on the reel. I detail/ceramic coat vehicles so I need dry clean air to not contaminate the paint surfaces. After washing a vehicle, I like to dry most of it with the compressed air. So today was my first day using the above setup. I dried two cars (maybe 2 hours run time) and my desiccant is already saturated. Pretty much single use desiccant. On a positive note, the air was dry and oil free, so it does get 4 stars. If you buy this, buy extra desiccant that you can reuse by heating in the oven. (Dry & Dry blue/pink) Wondering if I should have bought a refrigerated unit instead… ... show more

  • Lack of Quality Control
Size: 1/2"NPT, Munual Drain Color: 4 Stage(dual-dryer)
I purchased 2 of the 1/2 four module offerings. Quality Control was Non-Existant over them. When I put the units together, I found multiple air leaks, and these had obviously never been tested at the factory. The biggest leaks were in the sight windows. What I I initially thought was writing on the inside around the screws was actually stress cracking. The fasteners were put in too tight (maybe someone using an impact driver on something with a sensitive torque limit?) on both units and had fractured the windows. Air was coming out of several modules in both sets. I think the entry port on the regulator was slightly overbored and might have been leaking but it's really hard to tell with how much air was blowing around. The quick connect coupling was total garbage, but I'm assuming most people wouldn't be using that one, anyhow. I had previously purchased the 3/4 version, and returned it because it's really just a 1/2 version with an overbored entry/exit. That provides no real benefits over the 1/2 for airflow, etc., and just prevents you from changing modules later, etc. Avoid that version, too! ... show more

  • Dries air as expected. No issues.
Size: 3/4"NPT, Munual Drain Color: 3 Stage
I used this as an all-in-one drier for my paint projects. It attaches to your air compressor tank and dries the air before coming out of your tool. In this case, it came in really handy for drying the air for painting. I found no issues with the system. Thanks!

  • Great filter system
Size: 1/2"NPT, Munual Drain Color: 3 Stage
I'm using this filter system on the onboard air system on my truck. It's a rough environment for sure. This unit is working well and holding up great so far. Really happy with it and knowing I've got clean dry air now.

  • Very nice filter/drier
I recently upgraded from an old Husky 20 gallon 110v unit to a new Dewalt 60 gallon 2 stage 220v unit. No longer running a small filter/regulator that just leads to a single hose. New setup is 3/4" airline through the whole shop and I wanted an appropriate sized unit. Pro's Alloy construction, 3/4 in and out, easy to drain water trap and easy to see condition of the desiccant, and it included an extra filter and extra desiccant. Con's I found the pressure regulator a bit difficult to use the first time. It was cranked so tight I thought it was defective at fist. I ended up accidentally removing the adjuster/seal/spring trying to figure it out. After that initial confusion, aired it up and everything was good to go. This is an absolute must to protect your air tools at home. I would suspect that this filter is 95% the air quality as the expensive name brands. If using in a production environment, I would maybe check it a little more frequently for the first few months to make sure, and you can always use the desiccant from your auto body supply store. I would have no issues running this unit to my paint booth in a small to medium sized shop. ... show more
