    • This light is Bad Ass!
This is a bad ass little light! we used this lights on all kind of things. I've had mind for over 8 mounts now, we bought it to used on a cage system with my gopro to film under water. It is really bright and throws a lot of lite for a little light. We also started used it with the gopro head mount as a head light to were just over are mask for night diving on over 50+ night dives now. Now I keep one in the truck to use when ever I need to light something up, on my head while riding 4-wheeler or hunting pack and so on. It's small and lightweight, made of a hard molded plastic with a clear lens and 36 led-s in it. I've knock it off my head into mud, drop it out of my tree at 15' to the ground ( it was in soft dirt but still) talking it down to 120' of water (it's very water proof) a bunch of times on 20 minutes dives 4 to 5 times a night and the same battery all night. The battery last a really long time also. I've been really impressed with this light and have 6 of them now. I highly recommend it especial for the money. ... show more

Compact, wide angle light. Photos Left to Right are Standard GoPro Light Mod with diffuser, GoPro light without diffuser, the rate Suptic 36 LED diving light, and the combination of the rated Suptic light with the GoPro light mod without diffuser. All shot with GoPro on a tripod 10-ft from a target wall using the 16-34 mm wide angle lens setting with 1x zoom, 1/1,000 sec, and white balance set to Native. Lux values were 3 Center and 0 lux at edge of frame for the GoPro with diffuser, 26 center and 0 edge for the GoPro without diffuser, 30 lux center and 0 lux at edge for the rated Suptic light, and 45 lux center and 1 lux at the edge for both lights together. Much easier and more practical to mount than the GoPro light mode, which requires either the waterproof housing or the Media mod housing, the latter of which requires partial disassembly and renders the assembly non-waterproof. The light throw pattern would probably be a good match for the Linear lens setting, and compared to the GoPro, brighter, more even, longer battery life, one third the cost (including the GoPro housings), and easier to mount, although slightly more more bulky. The two lights can be used together to produce a pleasing center-weighted light pattern. ... show more

    • questionable seal but so far so good
Ive used this on 4 dives (all to less than 30ft) and no leaks. the gasket is not like most dive housings that are designed to be greased but I have better luck (based on past similar items) if I grease it well with silicone grease- I use more than I would on traditional underwater housings. The down side of this is that it is messy and can actually attract dirt and hair that will cause a leak if you arent careful. When it is latched closed it actually bulges a bit near the middle and seems more secure if you squeeze it together while you latch it. All of that feels less secure to me than it should BUT is has not leaked yet and the price is good. This is a fill light not a beam- good for looking at things that are a few feet away and good for photos, not for navigating like a flashlight. I was hoping it would be a bit brighter but its still helpful. I did not use if for the entire dive- probably ~45 minutes and the charge lasted fine. I only do night dives for a week or two in summer then it wont get used for a year. instructions say to store it charged 60% (there is no indicator to tell you how charged it is) and to charge every three months. I doubt I will remember that. I would prefer a replaceable rechargeable battery for that reason. Seems likely I will not get as much life out of it next summer. time will tell. ... show more

Day 3 of a dive trip and it stopped working. It appears to have moisture/water in the front of the light. The battery section is dry. Up until it stopped working I was really happy with it. It provided just the right amount of light for better pics. I would not recommend due to it no longer working after 3 dives. ... show more

    • Well made. Bright. Great design.
I bought this to attach to my skydiving helmet to use during night jumps. After I open my parachute, I switch on this light to illuminate my parachute. This helps identify issues (as needed), and it also looks cool so others can see me flying around. Oh yeah, that's for safety too, so we don't crash into each other in the dark. It's bright, fairly lightweight, very well designed and built well. I like that I can use a GoPro mount with it! I can see this coming in handy on my tractor, for plowing at night, as well as in other applications. Good stuff. I will likely buy more. I guess I took the word diving literally. ... show more

    • good underwater light
easy to use, two brightness settings (plus a third pulsing setting which for me was useless), acceptable battery life, quick recharge used this light for a week of diving including a couple of night dives ... for night diving the less-bright setting was more useful for me, the bright setting would cause the center of images to be washed-out. actually wish that it had one even less bright setting instead of the pulsing/strobe option - that would have made it perfect for night dives (the problem is that with the GoPro I needed to be CLOSE on the subject which would cause the light to be too bright and wash-out the vids & pics) battery life was acceptable - first day turned it on at the beginning of the dive (60 min), off during surface interval, and then back on for the second dive - by about 1/2 of the second dive (30 min) the light was too dim to be functional ... charged over night and from then on would just turn in on/off as needed for shots which allowed it to work for two 60 minute dives a day overall am satisfied with this ... show more
