I wanted a small safe to keep things like cash, documents, and a few valuables in one spot without taking up much room. This one looked like it would fit what I needed. It's small enough to fit under my desk. The steel feels solid, and it has some weight to it without being too heavy to move around. The shelf inside is useful for separating smaller items so everything isn’t stacked on top of each other. I’ve been using it to store things I don’t want left out, and it does a good job for that. The key lock works fine and is easy to use. It’s not complicated, which I like. The inside space is a little smaller than it might look from the outside, so you have to be a little mindful of what you put in it. I keep a small amount of money it along with my more important papers. It works well for keeping things within easy reach while keeping them out of sight.

I really like this safe for what it is. It is easy to set up, and perfect for your home or maybe a small business if you want a dedicated place to store some semi-valuables. It is fairly small, and fairly light, so while you can store some items and documents in it, it would be very easy for someone to walk away with if it’s not installed strongly. I cannot confirm whether it is fireproof or waterproof as I have not yet tested those functions, but it appears to have a strong enough quality to withstand some. I would say this is a pretty good value and I’m glad I have it - a nice central place to store my personal documents, and a couple pieces of jewelry and still have room to spare.

I ordered this to keep a few private things out of easy access, not to protect priceless documents, jewelry, etc. It is absolutely not fireproof or waterproof, not even a little bit, so keep that in mind. This is more of a basic lock box than a disaster proof safe. The key is kind of unusual, shaped like an X, which caught me off guard at first. One interesting feature is that the door has to be locked before you can remove the key. I actually like that. It makes sure you do not accidentally leave it unlocked. The safe itself feels solid and well built, with a large locking mechanism that seems strong. The bolts that come with it are very heavy duty. I also like the gray felt padding on the bottom. I did have to give it a few alterations to get it to fit properly, but once I did, it looked nice. It reminds me of the safes you see in hotel rooms. There were no instructions included, and I have not looked into how to remove the small shelf yet. I am sure I will figure it out if I need to, but instructions would have been helpful for people who prefer a little guidance. What I appreciate most is that it is completely old school. No batteries, no electronics, nothing that can randomly stop working. Just a solid metal box and a key. Also, the lifetime warranty and free replacement parts say a lot to me. That kind of backing tells me the manufacturer believes in their product, and that goes a long way. For basic home privacy, that is exactly what I wanted.

This is a sturdy little steel safe with a solid-feeling lock and a removable shelf. The build quality is decent. What I liked: Solid construction and decent lock Removable shelf is useful Good size for passports, documents, or small valuables What I didn’t like: Very small (0.43 cubic feet) — limited space The key can be finicky to insert Biggest issue: It’s light enough that a thief could easily pick up the entire safe and walk off with it. There are no mounting holes to bolt it down. Final Thoughts: It’s fine if you just need a basic locked box for documents and plan to hide it really well. But as actual “security,” it’s questionable because someone could just grab the whole thing. I wouldn’t trust it with anything valuable.
