    • Neat and compact pellet grill!
The unit appears to be well made, and functions as described by the manufacturer. It’s easy to set up and use. I like the fact that it can be run by 110 volt ac (household current), or by 12 volt dc (auto/truck current). This feature makes it more versatile and portable. I have experimented with running the grill on my 12 volt automotive jumper pack, and it started and ran for several hours with no problems. That may come in handy if a power outage occurs while you are in the middle of cooking on the grill. It’s advertised as a portable pellet grill, and the legs do fold up to form a sort of carrying handle. It’s not very heavy, (50-60lbs) but it’s a bit bulky for one person to pick up and move the grill, so more of a two person task. The grill does a good job of maintaining the temperature you set it at, with minor fluctuations. I’ve gotten good results with most things I’ve cooked so far, and I’m still learning some of the ins and outs of timing and temperature details. That would be true with any new equipment that you may try. Overall, I’m pleased with the quality and performance of the grill, and it does add a nice smoked flavor to the food when used at lower cooking temperatures. ... show more

    • My Go To Pellet Smoker!!
So far I’ve been very happy with this grill. I bought is specifically for tailgating and RV use. I've had it less than a month and cooked (smoked) on it at least a dozen times everything from Pork Butt, Chicken Wings, a 10 lb. Turkey and also Bacon. In fact I also own a "Grilla Grills Silverbac" pellet smoker (A GREAT grill by the way).. I find that I use the Davey Crockett all the time and leave the Silverback under the cover. For a family of 2 the Davey Crockett is the perfect size for my needs. Ohh and I really love the Wifi aspect. Now I can be inside my house and not have to go outside to check temps. One thing I like about the Wifi is it can be placed in "Server” or "Local" mode. Server mode allows you to run errands away from your house on those really long smokes and still check on the status of the smoker whereas local mode is as the name applies. Another great thing that makes this a "True" tailgater is the power. It uses a 12V DC input for power but comes with all adapters needed so if you are powering from a 120V source it will convert to 12V DC. Also comes with "Clips" to allow you to connect directly to a 12V car battery or you can power directly from the "cigarette lighter”. For even further portability I use a small 12V DC power supply that’s good for about 50 hours of grilling time before I need to recharge. I really like how once I set my required temp is that is stays steady with no swing in temps (PID Controller.?). However, one thing I don't like is the fact I’ve measured about a 15 degree difference between the left side and right side of the smoker with the right side being the hotter even with the heat deflection plate slid to the far right (per the instructions). I don’t have this issue with my Silverbac smoker. I'm guessing because the Silverbac uses heaver gauge steel and is insulated so the heat stays more uniform. PROS: *Very portable at 67 pounds *Folding legs also doubles as carrying handle *12V DC input uses battery clips, cigarette lighter or AC/DC converter to power * PID Controller (I think) * Wifi (Server/Local modes) * Slick App for WiFi use (also allows adjustment of temps by 1 degree) * Comes with a second probe to monitor internal food temps CONS: * 15 degree difference between left side and right side (on my smoker at least) but has not been an issue with any of my smokes. ... show more

I rarely write detailed reviews, but given the pandemic situation, I wanted people to find the right pull up bar given that gyms won't be open for a while. I had initially bought the standard type of pull up bar, to be specific the spri premium pull-up bar. It was decent but there were some flaws and hence I searched for a better pull up bar. Pros of chriffer bar: -> Literally zero assembly required. -> The pull up bar handle sticks out of the door frame, which means you can grip the bar at widths that are at/above the width of the door frame. This was really important to me, as the spri ones were ok only for chin ups and narrow pull ups, not even standard one. -> The build of this is really solid. The metal bar that lean against the door frame and the bar that you hang onto are single piece very solid. I did not feel the same with spri ones. -> The pull up bar is designed to be higher than where it rests on the door, this means, you get better clearance from the ground. This is also a major benefit. -> The item is exactly as described in the photos. Manuals and installation instructions are on point. -> Looks and feels premium. But given the pandemic situation, it is hard to see it at those prices. Cons -> The pad that is leaning against the door frame from the outside is made out of plastic. The problem with this is, when you are doing the pull up the plastic part rubs against the door frame (front part) and this gives a weird sound consistently. But I overcame this by taping over some edge protector (from baby proofing material). -> The black part that hooks on to the inside of the door frame, creates small black marks. (see attached photos). However, this can be overcome by applying some painters tape to the door frame where it comes in contact. Overall ratings: 4.5/5. ... show more
