I lost the outdoor Blink Camera bracket during the storm and use this as replacement to mount the camera. The Only thing is that this is a lot bulkier since it has camera housing, however, for me that is no issue. It is tucked away and takes the pictures as programmed and works well and very reasonably priced. Happy with the purchanse.

I own a number of Blink cameras, and all the outdoor cameras are attached to trees. I quickly discovered this can be an issue if you have curious squirrels, raccoons, crows or neighborhood cats (my property is frequented by all four) as the mounts Blink supplies with their cameras are simply pathetic. Just a slight nudge by critter or strong gust of wind and the camera is dislodged--and trying to adjust where the camera points while it's "attached" to the original Blink mount is a massive aggravation. These replacement mounts are hands down worth every penny. In truth you don't need directions as it's obvious how to mount them. They are certainly no more difficult to mount than those awful little ones that come with the cameras, the visor above the camera does in fact protect it from rain and, to a lesser degree dust/pollen and it will clearly add an extra layer of protection against moisture getting into the battery compartment as long as you have the camera pointing slightly downwards. The mount itself screws securely into the housing that surrounds the camera, so no more cameras popping off the mount by a gentle nudge or a blast of wind--which could damage your camera, assuming you could locate it afterwards. Once mounted and the camera oriented the way you want (which is a breeze) and all the adjustments tightened, it's rock steady. A squirrel happily demonstrated that it won't budge when he sat on it, then he and a friend raced up and down the tree the camera was mounted on, sometimes using the camera as a launching pad and the camera did not move. We also had a pretty decent windstorm a few days ago and while I'd always been worried for my cameras in really bad weather, as all are fully exposed to whatever Mother Nature throws at my property, these new mounts held fast--no issues. It also does not in ANY way interfere with night vision These new mounts might also stump any would-be or opportunistic thieves, or at least make them work for their ill-gotten gains (in the process allowing the camera time to get good mug shot) as it might not be obvious how to remove the camera to anyone unfamiliar with this mount. That's another plus: if you need to remove the camera, to replace the batteries, the mount/camera housing will remain precisely the way you wanted it--no more repositioning once you replace the camera in its housing.

The media could not be loaded. Work great to help block sun or rain. But they are bulky an didn’t work exactly where I wanted it. But made it work out.

I have 4 different sets of Blink cameras on our property and have never liked the included mounting brackets. These are a very big step up in quality and ease of use. The bracket is a two piece plastic set with one being the hood into which you insert the camera, and then a plastic plate that snaps on the back. At first, the back plate seems very flimsy - but once you insert the camera the backplate snaps in place perfectly and securely. The mounting arm is easily four times the size of the ones included in with the cameras and is of much higher utility and quality. They mounted easily and securely. So far, the hoods and brackets have kept water out of the housing and the top cover keeps the sun out a bit better. Overall, these are a great addition to the setup and will keep the cameras newer and fresher for much longer.
