Let's face it, many cameras don't have drilled holes in their shutter release buttons, and some of those buttons just don't feel right while out shooting various scenes. That's why they came up with various soft shutter release buttons that either screw-in or stick-on (such as this product does). I had a few older enthusiast model cameras - small in size, yet wonderful to shoot with. None have the convenient screw-in buttons where you can add other accessories. My shutter release buttons are just flat (and small), oftentimes making it a little difficult when trying to depress those buttons (especially with larger fingers). Now enter this wonderful two-button set of add on buttons, which slightly raise the profile of the shutter release button. They are wonderfully packaged, are made of metal and painted red, and you receive two buttons (with the adhesive already attached), along with two other strips of adhesives (in the event the adhesive already on the buttons wears off). Application of these small elevated add-on buttons is simple and they stay tight. As a result of adding them, the cameras look great and depressing the shutter release buttons became more convenient. I love these. The Fujifilm X-T3 has a threaded shutter button, making application much more reliable and straight forward. These are obviously for cameras without a threaded shutter button. So, why would someone want, or need, to put a button on top of a perfectly good button? In my case, the GFX 50S shutter button has good feel but is flush with the on/off switch that surrounds it. Combining the larger grip with my smaller hands, I’m unable to get a solid contact surface between my fingertip and the shutter button. Adding this brings the surface a few millimeters above the face of the power switch, allowing my whole fingertip to make contact, right up to the inner knuckle and giving me a better feel and control. So, in the package you’ll get 1x convex button, 1x concave button and 2x spare adhesive dots. As long as you thoroughly clean your camera’s shutter button before applying, the adhesive should hold well at normal temperatures. My experience with these types of acrylic adhesive foam tapes is that their holding power can be affected by temperature, especially during the application phase. Because of that, I used a hair dryer at low heat to bring the temperature to about 90 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure maximum bond. The adhesive is also sensitive to oils, so be careful not to touch the exposed tape with your fingers when applying and thoroughly clean the shutter button face with rubbing alcohol. I used a pair of rubber tipped electronics tweezers to grasp and manipulate the button during application. However, you get 2 spare adhesive dots, so no need to despair if you mess up twice. Be sure to press and hold the new button onto the shutter button for at least 60 to 90 seconds during application. So, if you have smaller hands, sausage fingers, or a camera with a very large grip, give these a try if your shutter button isn’t threaded. Making the button taller may seem a bit counterintuitive, but it works for some, including me. ... show more
