I wanted a lighter for my car that I didn't have to worry about self-combusting in the hot summertime interior of my. I was pretty dubious about the claims made by these electronic lighters, but the price ($7.58 for two) was right for me to try them out. Call me quite impressed! The lighters feel sustantial, and worked great right out of the box. They're a little different to use than regular lighters, but did a fine job lighting cigarettes, candles, a campfire, and my charcoal grill. Best of all, they're rechargable via an included USB cable. And, of course, there's no flamable fuel involved, so sitting in my car parked in the sun will be no problem. If they last remains to be seen, but they feel very well-constructed. I love it when someone comes-up with a better take on an every-day consumer item. Give one of these a try and see if you don't agree that it's one super-cool gadget.

Needed for camper stove. They work great. They came fully charged and I haven't had to charge in two weeks. Not bulky. They light first push and easily ignite the stove. They also worked great lighting our fireworks on the 4th! Happy with purchase.

I recently purchased the KTEBO 2Pcs Rechargeable Electric Lighters with TYPE-C Long Lighter, with their performance. These lighters are convenient to use. They are efficient and work well for lighting candles, grills, and more. The only minor downside is that the battery life could be a bit longer, but overall, they are great quality and very handy. Great lighter. Didn’t know what to expect, stumbled across these when looking for a “traditional” lighter and was drawn to the fact that they’re rechargeable and no refill gas required. Lights candles and stove in an instant, and flexible end, so works easily with the grill.

Lighters are always so finicky and never work. These guys always work, no gas to troubleshoot or shield form the wind. AAAAAND they recharge which mean they never run out or run low. 10/10

Short: way better value and nicer to use than gas lighters, with some limitation. Long: It looks like everything it claims to be. A single charge seems to provide at least half as many lights as a disposable gas unit, so with recharges, the price per use is radically better. The unit seems to be sturdy; the handle is plastic but the gooseneck and head are metal, and flame resistant. I held a lighter to the head for a few seconds and it didn't affect the unit. It lights paper and cardboard just as well as gas, and while the instructions say it's not for lighting cigarettes and pipes, this can absolutely be done in a pinch, although the zippo style electric lighter (which I also bought) is better for those applications. It lights through wind and rain nicely. On skin (yes, I'm that guy who has to find out), it doesn't feel good. It heats up the air around the arc, so it'll burn if it's close, and if it's close enough to arc through your skin, it's a zinger. Not as bad as a live electrical outlet, if you've ever made that mistake, but it zaps harder than I would have guessed. Surprisingly, the head retains little heat after normal use. If you just light some paper then touch the non-live head with your finger, it's not painfully hot the way a lighter typically is. One drawback: you can't ramp up the power like you can with an adjustable gas lighter, or even heat like a mini gas lighter. So if you're trying to light a chunk of wood directly, this tool has a clear ceiling that a classic lighter is not limited by. It really needs tiny ladder fuels to start a fire: paper or wood slivers that the forks of the lighter can get around. If I see any need to update this, I'll revisit. Happy camping!
