WOW! I am so impressed with this Light bulb Camera. Great business to work with too! So easy to set up it was unreal. Came with directions that you could actually follow, understand and they actually helped get the camera set up. You do need to download the VicoHome app. That also was so easy and fast. When I get everything set in my Android Phone. It walked me through everything step by step. It tells me that I needed an updated version of the app. I hit the button and it updated in just a few minutes and then I continued setting the camera up. Starting working right away. I am using Cloud right now for backup, but, I also added a SD Card. That was even easy to load with this app. The App. itself is easy to work with. It is on my enclosed front porch now and with us having the door open for a bit to put the camera up the windows steamed up. The camera is actually picking up movement through the steamed up window. I love that it has a flood light on it as I had to take out my light on the front porch to add the camera. I can control the light on my phone. I did need to use a light bulb extension socket with the camera as above the windows on my enclosed porch there is 9 inch trim above the windows. Had no problems with that either. When I set up the camera I had screwed the camera into a lamp in the house. I got everything going, then I unscrewed it and put it in the outlet on the porch. The app. immediately picked up the camera and did a scan for it to connect. It would of taken less time if I would have remembered to turn the light switch on for the light socket outside. LOL! Took a second to figure it out. I liked that it started working right away. I am still playing around with how I and what I want it to pick up. So far it is easy to follow and under almost of of the buttons to turn on and off on the App. it tells you exactly what it will do if you turn it on or turn it off. That helped me a lot. As far as the business I ordered from: Super fast delivery. i love that they sent me an email that had tips on setting up if you ran into any problems. It was nice to have a business reach out to me first to solve problems ahead of time instead of sitting here brewing because you can't figure out what is going on and why it is not working. You can also reach out to them and they will help you. Needless to say I can toss the 2 other cameras I purchased awhile back since I could not get any answers to help me get them set up. I'm happy now i have some security. After I was all set up. i received an email from VicoHome App. with Articles that are helpful and how to get a hold of them if I have any questions. Very satisfied with my purchase. Thank You!

While screw-in light bulb type security cameras are not as good as a wired in permanent setup I have to say this is the BEST one I have used. I have had different manufacturers of the same style, and this is by far the best. I like the fact that even without a cloud subscription you can view 10 seconds of video from the SD card. Other manufacturers only provide 3 sec of video. It does require an extra step to view the SD card but it is easy once you find it. This camera is also very reliable in picking up motion and immediately recording. The video quality is very good. I really like the fact that the flood light sort of resembles a common light bulb and lights a large area without the focused and blinding light given off by most LED spot lights. Plus being able to adjust the brightness of the flood light is a nice feature. The Wi-Fi connection reliability seems the be very good so far. I have had them running for 2 months or more and so far no disconnects or offline status. UPDATE: This review is for model BLC53P and not for the model BLC53 which is advertised here. There are differences between the 2 models. One is that the BLC53 does not have the adjustable floodlight feature, which I really like about the BLC53P. Why Amazon attached the review to this model is unknown seeing as the BLC53P is still available. BTW I still highly recommend the BLC53P.

I have tried 3 of these light bulb security cameras so far. This is the only one that really works as a security camera with intelligent human detection and more importantly to me actually gives me notifications on my phone via their app when human activity is detected. Don't be fooled by some others that may not give you notifications even though they say they do. My experience so far is that is not always the case. Check out the reviews and see if anyone even mentions alarm notifications. This camera has a great picture day and night even without light at night. You can zoom in. I have mine in a coach light on my house with no problems as this light bulb camera is over 7 inches in length. When I zoom I can see pretty far away. This camera allows you the option to pay for their cloud service or to use a micro SD card up to 128 GB. I use the SD card. If you use a SD card the slot is located under a rubber flap when you move the camera up with your hand. This also includes the ability to set off an audible alarm and a flashing light or just a spotlight that looks like a lightbulb turned on when motion is detected. You can toggle those on or off. This also allows for 2 way audio. Audio is ok and works, better than some others I have tried. This will pan 350 degrees and tilt 90 degrees. I do like that this has motion tracking and this does a good job of keeping up with a person with a little lag if fast movement is detected. You can use SD or 2K resolution. You can also delete your recordings unlike others I have used very easily. All in all it did not take long at all to learn how to use the app, just click on things and see what they do. If you have never used one of these before to set this up there is a light bulb socket adapter that has a regular electric plug end on it. Plug it into that adapter and into a wall outlet to setup, then move it to where you want it to go after setup. It screws into a regular light bulb socket and they give you an adapter for a smaller socket as well. I am very pleased with my purchase so far and will update if any problems. Just thrilled that it works and actually gives me notifications. I think this is a good deal for the price at least for me.

Very clear videos taken when motion is detected. You must have a very good wi-fi signal. They really do all that they claim. Very inexpensive way to monitor an area. You will have to down load the software app to your phone. It will alert your phone when a person enters the field of view. You can review and keep the video or delete it. Also you can tell the camera's to sleep from your phone when allowed people are in the area
