So far these drill bits are very good. I drilled three 5/16 holes in a three-quarter inch piece of Steel and it did drill the hole every time but the third time the drill bit seemed a little dull but not bad at all. I didn't hear any squeaking and just had to push a little harder on the drill press handle. They work really good with a smooth cut and they are made of very hard Steel. I used cutting oil and I only put about 10 pounds of pressure on the 5/16. I would definitely recommend these bits. You can always resharpen them. ... show more

Received product in excellent condition. Metal case is strong, and all bits were in place and protected with foam from becoming dislodged from their separators/holders. All bits appeared brand new with sharp well-ground points, all were clearly marked with HSS material and their respective drill size or letter/number designation. Ti coating appeared to be uniformly applied to entire surface of bits. I’ve attached a few pictures of the package and bit set just as I opened it up; everything as advertised! I used the 7/32” bit mounted in my drill press to make 12 holes thru a 3/8” thick low carbon steel plate. The drill cut thru it like a clean sharp drill bit should. The bit never got too hot to touch, but I did use a cutting oil, and I rested a minute or two to lower the bit temperature before drilling each next hole. First impression is that these are really good bits for the money. I will update this review if my experience using other bits and materials is lessened in any way. ... show more

I was drilling out a bolt in harmonic balancer of my boat. Hole started, bit went in 1/4 inch and broke off in hole. Had to buy a specialty Harmonic Balancer removal tool and replace it. Bits are good for m dim duty, not heavy duty.

Terrible quality used the 1/2 bit drilled 1 hole went to drill another hole and wouldn’t drill the bit was chipped worst bits I’ve ever used the metal was mild steel I was drilling, would like a refund!
