I believe the value for money in this kit is clear as there isn't the need to purchase multiple drill bits to work with. I can't say how durable it is but considering that I've used one bit to drill over 40 holes in different metal thickness, I believe it should be able to get to 100 and still be drilling holes in metal smoothly. ... show more

    • Just make sure you know what you're drilling.
These are great for mild steel, but you'll want something harder for harder materials. I grabbed one of these drill bits and started drilling away at what I thought was a piece of scrap mild steel. First hole went fine. Second hole and the 3rd or 4th step up, the drill bit just stopped cutting. Rather than use common sense, I immediately took a brand new other brand name HSS cobalt drill bit and tried to continue the hole. That drill bit was dull within seconds. So the fact that these stepper bits lasted through one hole says something good about them. ... show more

    • Works as expected - but labeling is generally not readible
The bits are what you expect, but the labeling on them is kind-of important. When you are drilling and you want to drill to a specific size - the bits change sizes very quickly, and the writing of the sizes on the bits themselves are generally unreadable on two of the three. And that's when you are holding them in your hand all perfect & clean. Imagine how hard it is when doing work & it's in your drill. Virtually impossible. You have to guess. ... show more
