KFD Killer Force Drill Bits have a 135 degree split point tip for self-centering and reducing thrust. Compared to a conventional 118 degree tip, these drills wont go "walking" on you. To be clear, this review is for the 13pc 1/16-1/4 inch set. Exceptional drills for the money, and the heavy steel Hout index is worth nearly what I paid for the set. Precise grinds and coating application across all 13 sizes. Edge retention is on par with what it should be for quality HSS. I estimate I could substitute a few of these into my MUCH more expensive 1/2-inch Norseman without it being evident, short of perhaps drilling hardened steel. ... show more

Hands down the best drill bits I have ever used. I primarily drill annealed Damascus steel and other metals, and these drill bits start fast and cut great. These may also be the most expensive set of drill bits that I have purchased but like they say cry once buy once.

After getting tired of cheap Chinese/Harbor Freight drill bits that can't even drill through pine and snapping like pretzels I decided to get some good old made in USA bits. Ignoring the negative reviews about the crappy metal case I ordered the set anyway. Pic 1 shows what I saw when 1st opened. After spending an hour or so rearranging the bits I found the hole for the #60 bit hadn't even been drilled(pic2). Another issue is that some of the bits are longer than their larger neighbors(pic3. I’ve bought this set before and wanted a second one for the shop. The case is terrible and won’t hold the drill bits in place. Makes me question the quality of the drill bits, too.

I bought 3 sets because I was drilling stainless steel and had dulled then broken 4 other drills. First drill finished the job and was as sharp at the end as when I started. Guess I'll have some good spare drills for my next project.
