this thing seriously delivers, both in sound and durability. Whether I'm on the jobsite, in the garage, or just hanging out outside, this speaker has become my go-to for reliable, clear, and powerful audio. Best speaker I have ever owned. Extremely durable, with good sound, and amazing battery life. Sometimes struggles with Bluetooth connection but after a few tries it connects. I have left this out in sub zero temperatures, and turned it back on no problem.

    • It's not Packout radio level but still packs a punch!
I bought this speaker because I was getting annoyed with people using my Packout radio. I have to say, for a speaker that's originally $179 plus tax and you find for $100 plus tax and shipping here on Amazon, that's a damn good steal. I myself am impressed on how this speaker sounds and kicks for this kind of price! It's not as loud though as say the Packout radio and it can and will distort if you play bass intensive music at max volume. Also best, for any android users, to turn off any EQ or Dolby atmos settings to get normal stereo sound. I find with these fancy shmancy Dolby EQ settings the bass on the speaker is non existant and the music isnt loud at max volume. That's especially true if you use a music streaming service that has Dolby Atmos and 360° reality audio it sounds like you're on a phone call. This speaker does not charge M18 or M12 batteries but will run off any M18 or M12 battery you put in to here. Please note that an M18 or M12 battery is sold separately! I do not know if this speaker is waterproof let alone water or splash resistant. That is probably something to consider before buying this and to use EXTREME CAUTION near any type of water. To conclude, yes I recommend this speaker but no I do not recommend it. Yes because it's a good size and sounding speaker that you can take on the go No because you will need an M18/M12 battery and an M18/M12 compatible charger for this speaker if you plan on taking it to the beach or pool parties. Loudest speaker at the plant I work at I'm only giving it a four-star rating because there is no way to control the bass and treble and there should be like an app for that or something other than that it's a great speaker tuff as nails¡

    • Tough, versatile, decent sound
Build crazy tough! Not well-known, but is actually highly waterproof. There's a video out there of someone repeatedly submerging this in a 5 gallon bucket of water, with a battery installed, and the whole time it never stops playing! Teardown videos show lots of gaskets and about a hundred fasteners to keep it watertight. Much better sound quality than the 2951-20 M12 radio, which is why I bought it! Also comes with the AC adapter to run it off wall power, which the 2951-20 didn't include. Unlike the 2951-20 M12, this does *not* charge the batteries when using the AC adapter. However, it still has a USB-A output. It also an AUX output, which the 2951-20 does not. ... show more
