these are just awesome ive had them 2 months in hot conditions and my feet feel great wearing them.s. I bought 5 different pairs of socks to compare in a hot arid environment in my combat boots on a deployment. im a pog that builds stuff so they put in work. these hold snug to calf dont sag, keep my feet dry, i can run jump do whatever and feel comfy all day long. they feel dirtier when you pull em off otherwise no complaints I would totally by this style again the other socks are as follows pay attention to material when you buy socks how they hold and ease of removal play a huge difference under armout heat gear tactical boot sock easily my favorite but these are right behind Darn Tough Tactical Boot Cushion Sock- these are pricey! they felt to tight the first few times but broke in nicely no complaints this far very comparable to the other two thus far. these do have a lifetime guarantee I dont think the others do I find my self gravitating to the first 3 brands until laundry day then ill have to wear the others below FoxRiver Men's Wick Dry Stryker Mid-Calf- these are super comfy but THICK not a summer sock. they can bunch up in certain environments and sag on the calf. Military Wick Dry Maximum Mid Calf Boot Sock-- i bought this one by accident i have the green version loved them on my first deployment then after 4 months they were just Meh. the material in them is not as much spandex so taking them off is kinda a pain in the ass. they feel good but really start to sag after a few weeks. this is by far the least favorite of the bunch

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: I bought 4 more pairs of these socks despite the wear from their first use. Can't have a problem and get 5 stars from me. I have been struggling to find socks that will not retain heat in the summer months. It's humid in NW Florida temps in the low 90s with a heat index of 105 F. That is bad hot since sweat can evaporate. In these conditions I don't need socks that keep my feet warm. Use their sizing chart provided as the last picture. If I hadn't I would have gotten large and had a really problem with my size 11 feet. There medium fit 9 1/2 to 13 for US men. From the moment i put these socks on I knew I had finally found socks that shed the heat. Even after putting on my Thoroghgood Wellington Safety Toe boot that have a wool lining in the bottom the socks transferred the heat from my feet with amazing efficiency. I wore them all day without an issue, until I took my boots off. The pictures show the pulling that was caused by the inner shaft of my boots. There was also a lot of pilling of the fabric around the foot of the sock. I doubt this would happen with fully lined boots, but it did happen with mine. I stretched the sock over a tennis ball container for the photos to see if the socks became threadbare with one ware. As you can see they did happen. There is a lot of fabric that was not bothered and the socks will wash and wear again.

My husband wears a very heavy safety boot when on job sites and has worn wool work socks for more than 25 years. I was pretty sure he wasn't going to like these - but I was flat out WRONG. These are his NEW go-to sock. He likes that they are thinner than the heavy wool boot socks he used to wear. He like that the top covers most of his calf (just under his knee) and says they feel almost like a compression sock and he likes that snug feel. Having said that, they are NOT difficult to put on - slides right on and off. The are fitted around the foot and heel. They are a lighter military fatigue green. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful and in this case, it will be interesting to see how they last - washing and drying went well the first time - but after some time and wear? Only time will tell. And socks are... lets face it - personal. Not every one would love these, but my hard working husband does. I will probably order more of these soon. UPDATE: 6/2/2019... I just purchased 15 more pair for my husband. He is replacing all his old work socks with these.

Very cool looking sock but unfortunately the material or both the way its made make the socks frail material fall apart. Also they will shrink quite a bit after wash. At the risk of making this review seem artificial, I wont say the brand of the best socks I've found on here. I'll just say there made in America and you definitely don't need to order a size up!!

I'm a biker and wear tall boots to keep the heat off my legs. As such, I look for knee high socks and have tried a lot of brands. These are now my fav socks. Great thickness but not too much and go on and off easily. Some are just a pain to get on and off. I wore them all summer in the 100+ SoCal heat and my feet did not get hotter normal ... maybe even cooler. I haven't worn them in winter yet (we ride year round here) so not sure how well they will keep my feet warm.
