Features

  • This tire was developed for performance pickups and SUVs, as well as modern muscle cars
  • Combines impressive looks and confident handling with year-round traction
  • Aggressive directional tread design with linked shoulder blocks, variably sized intermediate tread blocks, and two continuous center ribs
  • Wide circumferential center groove and sweeping lateral grooves provide water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction
  • Twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity, and durability

Description

The Ridge Grappler tires by Nitto are engineered for all-terrain performance. They feature a dynamic hybrid tread design for quiet and comfortable rides on roads thanks to their variable pitch tread pattern. The lateral Z grooves and shoulder grooves in varying lengths and widths expel mud and slush for better traction and improve grip for better maneuverability. The step block edges and alternating tapered edges add biting edges for better wet and dry traction.

I have a Chevy Avalanche, I am very happy with the look and performance of this tire. I live in a four season state, Montana!

  • Good so far...
Got these to toughen up my burb. They work great in the mud, and of course they dont ride as well as the michelins on the street, but not bad. I love how the look. Ill update after some time..

  • Nitto's do-it-all tire
Prior to this tire I had the Terra Grapplers which were not quite as good on wet pavement and snow. The Ridge Grapplers are a great tire in on dirt and off road, and in snow. They are not the best tire for wet pavement, but a significant upgrade from the Terra Grapplers for wet and snowy terrain. I have tried the 10-ply LT version and regular 4-ply versions of this tire. The LT rides a bit rough but the regular 4-ply version is pretty tame on pavement for an all terrain tire. You can't go wrong with this tire as a do-it-all tire. UPDATE: A little over two years and 30,000 miles later and I'm at around 25% tread remaining. I drive mainly an even mixture of local and highway, with some occasional dirt and gravel roads maybe once or twice a month. Hope this helps you in your decision. ... show more

  • Great looking tires

  • Its not meaty
I like the tire but it’s not meaty as my original wrangler duratrack my trail boss came with. Those gave me 56k before being replaced. These are quieter for sure and easier to turn but I didn’t mind the other being bulker . I do get slightly better gas mileage
