  • Definitely worth the money Definitely worth the money
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
So I picked this up instead of the solo, the price difference is amazing. This is the 27-in big boy. And it is an amazing pit. I don't think I would get anything smaller than this personally. I read a lot about these stoves and how to actually operate them. As you can see by the picture I ignored all of that. Using wet wood, random wood. Around the yard. Cleaning up my backyard. As well as having the wood extend beyond the top portion of the circle. I will tell you this when the firewood is underneath the circle the amount of smoke is pretty much zero. Any smoke that comes from this as you can see from the picture is only from the logs that are above the circle. And to be honest getting it to the full heat was very quick and easy. I'm very happy with the size of the 27 in. For me that is perfect. Large enough to put some decent size logs in, I'm not having to do a bunch of small cuts. After getting it to its critical heat. It has turned a golden color. With some blue highlights around the top it really is a wonderful piece. I understand that is not as thick or as durable as some of these other more expensive models. And the welds on it are mostly spot welds. To be honest I don't think that will be an issue. The spot welds they did were pretty decently done. And smooth over. In the overall look is the same as any of the super expensive models. I will tell you this I will definitely not be leaving this outside I will be taking it in after any event I do. And I think that will definitely have a longer life. I also used rubber gloves upon setup. Make sure none of the oils for my hand got on to the metal itself. I think it's important to use gloves while putting this out and bringing it in to increase the longevity and the look of it. I'm really loving the golden color it's becoming. From the original stainless. I think that's a beautiful look and overall I would suggest anybody get this. It seems to be very safe, compared to regular fire pits. And you can definitely see where the flames are doing their job in the second burn. ... show more

  • Works Amazingly Well and a Tremendous Value Works Amazingly Well and a Tremendous Value

This fire pit is great and it just works. With the double wall and plenty of ventilation at the bottom, it does this efficient burn to suck the vapor being converted from the material to the sides and super mix it with O2 to produce a very clean total burn of all that combustible material and off-put lots of thermal energy which heats a large area. The material you burn is turned to to 90% ash. The stainless will turn color to this pretty purple, blue, orange. So don't expect it to stay shiny and pretty. UPDATE MAY 28, 2025 The pit is still going strong. I wish I had a screen to keep the old wood I'm burning from exploding and throwing hot coals everywhere. This is because of my poor choice in burning old scrap wood with pockets of water and sap. The cover is not completely waterproof, but that is due to the weight of the water sinking into the open top and staying there until it got a chance to trickle through slightly. No rust so far after many inches of rain falling. The stainless has warped slightly, but it is still very serviceable and going strong after many uses. I still stick with my 5 star rating and love the reduced smoke and efficiency of the flame and burn. Great value stove and worth every penny. I want to get some casters to move it around and a lid to stop any sagging of the cover from rain accumulation. I bought mine as a return with no description of why it was returned. The top ring was bent on one side and I banged it into place on top with my hand. I need to take a rubber mallet and reshape it. The instructions suck and don't explain how to assemble the bottom ash pan. The solid pan goes on the bottom and you have to finesse the 4 sleeves in between that and the ventilated plate with just the first 1/4" of the bolt sticking through the hole and then tighten a nut at the bottom of the solid pan once you get the bolt all the way through. Another drawback I found was when you're burning a lot of material or going for a long time, the ventilation holes on the ash pan will become blocked and the efficiency of the burn starts going south quickly and it will start smoking and not burning well. A shuffle of the coals with a long poker at the bottom helps clear the holes and gets it back to burn efficient again. Oh, the worst thing about this is the poker. You're going to need a longer poker, period. I have pretty heat resistant kitchen hands, but even I can't approach the top of this can closely because it is putting off such super hot thermal energy. It functions a lot like a rocket stove, Webber chimney starter, afterburner, etc. as it channels all this fast moving super hot thermal energy right up through that ring. It would be great for a quick sear on steaks, but I would not want to get that on my beautiful stainless steel. It might just vaporize any fat before it has any chance of collecting inside. I noticed something weird when I was burning the cardboard box in it. It does not eject many embers out at all, and the cardboard stayed perfectly in the middle of the can with most of the flame burning around the inside of the can. The cardboard sat there like a mantle in a lantern and most all of the combustion was taking place just inside the walls of the can and going out the top. I never had ash and very few embers came out on this windy night when I first tried it out with a max 9 mph gust. I thought that was a wonderfully strange benefit to the design of this fire pit. I don't know how those $400 dollar Solo fire pits work, but this has got to be as good only with less fit and finish. The edges on the ring are very Isharp and could use some sandpaper. It does not seem very portable to me due to its large size. I will probably be able to stay on my patio with the heat this dude puts out even with cold wind. Great design and great price. We'll see how rust resistant it ends up being. ... show more

  • Save your dough, this one performs for less.
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
After exhaustive review reading about these "smoke-less" fire pit burners, I settled on this OutVue 27" stainless steel unit. The 'obvious' competitor that is the bar setter, surely can't be work the higher price you pay for brand recognition. This OutVue 27" checks all of the boxes when comparing critical components for these things. The thickness of the steel, raised feet for air circulation, removable ash grate, and same smoke-less engineering put the OutVue 27" squarely in the race for the best. It came very well packaged, and comes together (assembled) very simple.... just a few pieces. This is very functional and large enough for burning multiple 18" pieces of firewood at the same time. Once a bed of coals are established, marshmallows follow for a fun evening with guests around the fire. Keep in mind that none of these burners are "smoke-free!" They are "smoke-LESS" when the fire is young, all of 'em. This unit is very attractive and comes with a high quality cover that keeps the moisture out when not in use. When not in use, it's simple to transport and move to any location. A bit 'heavy' for one person to move alone, but doable. At almost 1/2 the price of the brand name competitor, I don't know why anyone would choose anything but the OutVue Stainless Steel 27 inch burner. ... show more

  • Cheap but worth it. Cheap but worth it.
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
I’ve been a longtime user of the original Solo Stove, I was even part of their initial crowdfunding. This OutVue 27-inch stainless steel fire pit is clearly modeled after it, but it’s not built to the same standard. The materials feel lighter and the construction relies on cheap spot welds. The metal is thin, and the stand uses push stoppers to lock in place, which already feels like a weak point. The top ring flexes easily and seems like it could bend with minimal pressure. That said, I still recommend it, with the right expectations. This is a budget version of the Solo Stove, and that’s exactly what you get. It’s not going to last for years like the original (my Solo Stove is still going strong after almost a decade), but at a fraction of the cost, it performs well enough. The smokeless feature works decently, and for the price, you’re getting fair value. Just know you’re buying a cheaper imitation, not a premium product. ... show more

  • Smokeless fires. Happy neighbors.
Color: Silver Size: 22 Inch
I consider this a great purchase. I like to sit around a campfire, but neighbors have always complained about having smoke coming from my fires. This item is unbelievable. Completely smokeless and I build up some pretty good fires. It burns down to the very end of the wood and just leaves ashes. I bought in for the winter months and that a spring is here. I’m gonna put it back outside. Sit back. Enjoy a new fire. Lightweight easy to move around. ... show more

  • Great smokeless fire pit if you’re on a budget. Great smokeless fire pit if you’re on a budget.
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
Having used this fire pit about 8 times over the last one month of ownership, I can honestly say it’s been pretty great. As long as you start with dry wood, it really does burn pretty well and keep much of the smoke from blowing all over the place. It definitely isn’t smokeless, though; at times, usually when first lit, it bellows thick black smoke. Most of the time it goes straight up, but I wouldn’t count on avoiding it entirely. Honestly, it’s been great and puts out a lot of heat at the expense of burning through a LOT of wood. My complaints are minor: - the cover will sag and allow water to pool in it unless you get some kind of cover. I recommend a spark screen, as we now have a lot more ventilation in clothing and chair cushions thanks to exploding embers. - the metal discolors with time (see picture). It’s minor, but noticeable. - some of the parts aren’t machined very well, and have very sharp edges. I learned this the hard way when I cut a deep gash into my hand during unboxing. (I’ve since healed!) Altogether, this is a great value when compared to the big name brand, and I hope to get much more use of it. ... show more

  • Mostly decent product, the ash pan is made of too thin material though.
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
This smokeless fire pit hits a great price point compared to "name brand" alternatives and comes with almost everything you need: the pit, a stand, a cover, and an ash pan tool. (A small broom for cold ashes would be a welcome addition!) Once lit, it lives up to its "smokeless" claim with a visible "second burn" and throws off excellent heat. However, the ash pan is a significant flaw. It severely warped during the very first use, making it impossible to pull out cleanly. Now, every attempt to remove it results in ashes spilling into the pit, forcing me to turn the whole thing over to clean it independently. In short, it's become a messy hassle. ... show more

  • Solid Build, Thicker Steel Than Expected, and Performs Great Solid Build, Thicker Steel Than Expected, and Performs Great
Color: Silver Size: 27 Inch
I went into this purchase a bit skeptical after seeing reviews claiming the metal was thin and prone to warping. That has not been my experience at all. The construction is solid, and the stainless steel is actually thicker than a smaller name-brand smokeless fire pit I already own. This unit feels well-built and durable. It weighs around 60 pounds, which gives it a sturdy, substantial feel and keeps it stable during use. The smokeless design works as expected, and it’s been a great addition for outdoor fires without dealing with excessive smoke. Overall, I’m very happy with this fire pit and would highly recommend it. If anything changes over time, such as rust or noticeable corrosion, I’ll update this review, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. ... show more
