These were very helpful to attach my vinyl shutters. The kit has enough plastic fasteners to attach six shutters using four fasteners per shutter. My house is concrete and There are already holes for the shutters from some anchors that failed. The vinyl Christmas tree fasteners push into the holes in the concrete and don't come out unless you really put some muscle to it. The shutters have held through a couple storms with no issue. These were a great tool free solution to reinstalling my shutter. A+ product

This 3" vinyl shutter screw is similar in size but not exact in design compared with big box brands. The head is slightly smaller and the threads/spines are larger and contain less per square inch. In principle, the wider the thread distance, the less holding power but most likely easier to install and remove. I will test it versus big box to see longevity since shutter screws typically don't last more than 1-2 years in wide ranging temps and high winds. The cost is an advantage for sure but time will tell if that offsets "stay" durability.

Experienced the same as other reviewers, very brittle and break easily. Had to follow advice that others left on this and similar products to predrill existing holes again and widen a bit 1/4" drill bit but moved it around to widen more because still to tight. Taking off a little bit on the ends helps because you are not putting them in as far, so less chance for them to get stuck and then break on you. Also, starting each one a little bit and then extremely lightly tapping them in a bit at a time, moving between them all as you go. Out of 60 I only needed 24 but almost went through them all did help after I started using this advice for stubborn areas. I was putting them in brick and stucco. Hopefully, they will hold up the tines on these are much thicker than others, causing them to be a tighter fit. I'm sure for removal, they will all need to be cut then drilled out to avoid damage. If you purchase these plan on making holes bigger than normal and going through a lot.
