Had a spare (double yay!!) to remove and replace. • Lesson: trim 3 ribs from the pointed end. Too long in 3 other places; trimmed to fit. These pins are easy to use and make your shutters look like new! One thing that I recommend is to use a primered paint. I painted one just to check it out first and I could actually peel it off with my fingernail. So not letting it get the better of me, I painted it again with a "paint and primer" spray and that did the trick! ... show more

I had a tree fall next to the house. Branches hit the shudders and snapped three of these pins. I needed to reattach the shudder before the wind snapped additional pins. The only issue I have with the product is the molding of the head. The mold was not aligned, and the head looks like two halves stuck together.
