These work so good! Straight forward easy to use. Locks on tight. We use them to lock our barn door which leads to our downstairs Airbnb. Have used on windows in past. Solid piece! Highly recommend.

Added security. I have 10 windows and I used two of them on each window. Easy to afix onto the metal frames on my vertical windows. Used pliers to tightened them a little more than only by hand. Comes with a little rubber piece to secure it firmly. Recommend these 100%.

I purchased the single screw in locks. The space needed to fit snuggly on my window didn't match the space of the lock. I was still able to screw in the lock and the window did not budge at all. The black buffer wasn't necessary for me and most of them fell out and were lost before I was able to screw the lock to the window. I would purchase this type of lock again and with larger windows I would recommend the style with two bolts for extra security. ... show more

    • Check the dimensions listed, and then your window. Especially the thickness the clamp goes over.

They are as advertised, however, if you have tilt-in sash, with weather strip on sides of sash, these may not work. Check the dimensions of the frame flange your single hung rides up against, if it's a ¼" then these likely won't work. Mine came with little rubber pads But they were not attached. Lucky I had some double stick tape As the pads are almost impossible to hold in place while installing without. It’s little things like this that make a product just ok, Instead of great.

These work same as the ones from Home Depot. Haven’t had a problem. Only thing is the black part that cushions it falls out when sideways but it’s not a big deal. Helps me feel safe when I crack my window open!
