It fit well. Only one end of each clip slots into the frame—the other end of the clip is held in place by the pressure exerted from it bending back in on the frame. This isn’t a huge issue, as once you set the screen in place it’ll stay just fine. I had an uncommon situation that wouldn’t allow me to tilt the screen at an angle to Get the clips in their slots first (the lower part of the screen was in the “U” of one of those Midea “U-Shaped” window air conditioners). I probably wouldn’t have noticed it otherwise. 4 stars only because, although it’s functionally and aesthetically fine, the high price slightly exceeds the high quality. Shipping was a little slower than advertised. The seller responded quickly and apologized for being behind, due to bulk orders, and upgraded to a faster shipping method. I’d recommend for small, odd sized (custom) orders. If you’re doing screens for your whole house, you might look for a more cost effective option. Note: I do believe these are expensive, but I don't believe the manufacturer is 'getting rich' off of anyone. They're very well packaged, with a wood support frame built to fit the shipping box. That costs more money and time than most realize. And shipping a large, odd-shaped package is NOT cheap. In summary, I DO believe the price is high, but that's a function of shipping a large, 'delicate' item halfway across the country -- not because there's an exceptionally high markup. Don't know where the materials come from, but they're cut and assembled in the U.S., upon ordering. I chose the higher-priced option over finding a local dealer/manufacturer because I felt it was worth the time saved (and I knew Amazon would step in if there were issues with the order). If your time is equally valuable, and you don't want to search for a local dealer, this is a good option. ... show more

This was a great replacement screen for my bedroom window. Make sure you know the size that you need. It doesn't have a mechanism to slide the screen up or down like my previous screen, but it's not a deal breaker.

The screens are great quality, but OMG the packaging. It’s certainly securely boxed - almost to the point that I can’t get it open! The cardboard is thick enough that you can’t cut one corner and then rip the rest open. The cardboard is superglued to a wood frame, stapled and then taped. If you can open it, though, you’ll be pleased with the screen! ... show more

I ordered this screen as I have an old storm door and I couldn't find an off the shelf screen in my desired measurements. I have glass panels with a frame thickness of 5/16". They sit in a lip on the storm door. I wanted to remove the glass panel and put a screen panel in it's place during the summer months. The screen arrived and it would not slide into the storm door lip. I used my calipers to measure the frame thickness and found that it was almost 1/16" too thick. I wrote the manufacturer and they told me that was within tolerance and they couldn't do anything about it. This is the quote from their page "Please double check your exact measurements prior to placing your order. All custom window screens are manufactured to be within 1/16" (+/-) of the measurements you provide. Measure from the outer edges of your existing screen frame (length/width)." When reading this, they reference the length and width, but make no mention that the frame thickness could be larger/smaller as well. The corners of the frame measure exactly 5/16"; however, the framing wraps around the corner pieces and will ALWAYS be larger than the advertised thickness. I'm not sure how this was missed in their production design and could have been easily fixed by making their corner pieces thinner to offset the rest of the material. There are only three frame thickness selections, so I'm unsure how they can't get the thickness accurate. ... show more

My 20 year old window screen was broken and the frame came apart and there were no people in Los Angeles willing to fix just one screen. So I found this company and measured with exact measurements down to the inch. It is so important to measure EXACTLY. The screen took a few weeks to make and arrived last week, shipped inside this solid wood framed box adhered with staples on the outside. To unpack the screen, you first must remove each and every staple on the box, at least on one side. Then carefully remove the paper wrapped screen inside. I took the screen over to my slider window, biting my nails and nervously seeing whether it would fit. With a push and a careful insertion, the new screen fit, but it looks like it fit EXACTLY and there is just no room for error to remove it again. The quality of the screen is OK, somewhat on the cheap side with the plastic frame around the screen, but it works to keep out the bugs. There is no margin for error! If you push too hard on the screen to get it into the track it will break! It's delicately manufactured with the tensile strength of a house of cards. Again I emphasize that you must be EXACT in your measurements and double or even triple check your measurements before ordering. It is not cheap either. One bedroom screen measuring about 40" x 24" was $130. Be precise, be careful, be gentle, and be willing to pay. And you will get a good screen. ... show more
