I chose this uke as my second purchase. It is my low G uke. It comes with a high G string, but I bought low G strings and restrung it. The wood in this particular uke makes the low G sound warm and not like a tin can, as some ukes do. I play flamenco style, fingerstyle, travis picking and more on this uke, while my other one a high G uke, is more for strumming and sing-a-longs. The headstock is a lot like my old guitar in shape, so it is a familiar look. Sure, it isn't a high end, pricey uke--and I am sure there are things someone could pick apart about it, but for the price, I feel I got a nice sounding, durable uke that I enjoy.

I feel a little guilty even reviewing this ukulele. I've never played a musical instrument of any kind in my life. I can't even whistle a tune. But now at 80 I want to try, and a ukulele seemed like the way to go. Oh my, harder than I thought. Makes my brain hurt. But it's good exercise for the brain. I felt at this price it's safe to try. It come with a lot of extras. I added a free uke tuner app to my smart phone which works great, but it does come with a tuner. I originally purchased the 23 inch and returned it, thinking it was too big. I wish I had kept it. I think the fingering on the frets would have been easier. In a year I'll let you know if I mastered it.

Beautiful instrument. Well made. But music book and all instructions are in Chinese. So unless you are musical and read Chinese that could be a problem. Also no instructions with tuner. I am not vary musical . So this makes it difficult for me. You will need to watch videos on utube. Also mine was missing the white bone on the bridge. Didn't look like it was even cut out for one. Not the bridge in picture . I sent it back.

I bought this as my wife's first ukulele. As she got quite good with it, I bought her a $400+ Martin T1. All I can say of the Martin is that you are paying the high price for the name, the sound is eh. The Lankro is of better quality and sound. The Martin is all laminate, the top is spruce laminate and the sides and back are "certified wood.". The Lankro definitely has the sound, weight and feel of a solid body. Sounds much nicer than the Martin with the original strings, and I expect it to sound even better when I put a set of Worth strings on it.

I have purchased 4 ukuleles from Amazon in the past month which has really upset my wife, so if you are going to risk upsetting your spouse, this is the one to do it with. I don’t know how Lankford did it, but for the price-getting solid mahogany (which gives a beautiful lush tone), great workmanship, great tuner, etc. I am impressed and love playing it! You will too! It is unheard of getting a solid wood Ukulele at this price! It’s beautiful. And so are you!

The media could not be loaded. I’m a little salty cause I wanted a new ukulele, spent almost double the price of my old one and the new one can’t keep up. It sounds fine I guess but I feel like if I really get into the vibe, and strum too hard, the strings will give, like an old rubber band; stretched too hard, it ain’t no good anymore. I suggest you spend less money and get the 30 buck, Everjoys ukele with the colorful strings. Just my advice

A really nice deal for all all-solid mahogany concert uke with nice tuners, gig bag, etc. sounded light and charming initially, but then decided to CHANGE THE STRINGS. I recommend Aquila Lava 113 U low G concert strings - trust me. Once I allowed the strings to stretch, the volume, tone and resonance of this little thing started to sing! It reminds me of a bare bones vintage Kamaka gold label from the 60’s but very similar to the new Enya’s from China. This one is also Chinese made and dang it’s got that all solid wood tone and punchy-ness with a lasting sustain from the low G string. As you can see I already customized mine with some stickers. I am very, very impressed with this and plan to sling it around and share music with others!

Simple beauty and a beautiful sound. Great intonation. It's a bit on the quiet side when I strum, but I don't feel that so much when fingerpicking. This instrument would be ideal for a first (or only) uke. I love the finish - all the beauty of gloss but still open pore, my hands glide right over it. I'm really enjoying playing it. So glad I decided to give it a try.
