The media could not be loaded. I was a bit worried, since I accidentally bought an exhaust fan instead of a cooling fan, but we just mounted it backwards and it blows nicely! The downside is that ANY small shadow really reduces the blowing power, so even if a leaf were to fall on it, the speed decreases to the point of really not blowing at all. It was quick and easy to set up and with full sun and no involuntary shadows, it should serve its purpose well for us.

I purchased this to help my chickens deal with Florida heat. I have a small coop and run that is 3‘ x 10‘ for three chickens. They love it and sit right in front of it. It starts running the moment it’s plugged in. It has held up really well and great big rainstorms.. and it rains a lot here. I never take it inside or unplug it. When hurricane Helene fully submerged my lawn it stayed underwater for several hours so I did have to replace it. I tried a different brand that was more expensive and supposed to have more watts. I opened that one and at once knew it was a bad choice. It was flimsy quality and hardly ran. I immediately returned it and re-purchased this one.

In direct sunlight this thing moves a lot of air. Any bit of shade or overcast and it slows significantly.

This fan functions but does not move enough volume of air to affect the temperature in our greenhouse. Might be effective in a dog house or very small chicken house. Good luck.
