When I set up my Blink 4 cameras and added them to my legacy account, I didn’t realize they would lose cloud storage capability after 30 days. This product turned out to be incredibly handy! At first, the USB was recognized in the Blink app but wasn’t recording any videos. I contacted Blink customer support, and after a quick software reset, everything started working perfectly. Now, my videos record just fine. While saving to the USB drive isn’t quite as fast as using cloud storage, it’s still a reliable and effective solution. USB drive worked fine and has a nice small profile. The sync module 2 holder, however, was extremely loose and the only thing holding it in is the short USB power cable, so it works well enough (especially with the included USB drive) to make it not worth returning and waiting for a replacement that might also fit poorly. I had expected the sync module to snap in with a couple flexible tabs holding it securely based on another mount I had purchased previously, but that one didn’t come with a USB drive. ... show more

I travel a lot for business and I wanted to set up an easy method of adding offline video storage to your Blink camera system. If you already use the Blink app and a Sync Module 2. The holder is cleverly designed, allowing a shorter power cable and room for the USB flash drive in a simple compact package without tools. I had to power cycle tbe sync module before the option to enable offline captuee displayed in the app, but the entire insulation took less than two minutes.     • Cannot snooze notifications permanently

You cannot have the camera record motion without notifying you. I have a camera pointed at the front yard of my house that in covers the street in case somebody runs over my head or my mailbox but I don't want to notification every time a car comes down the street but I do want the camera to record. You cannot snooze the camera more than 4 hours or 24 hours custom so you have to go into settings and snooze it every day. Otherwise it will not record anything. Why in the world wouldn't they make a function where you can turn off notifications but allow the camera to record on motion. ... show more
