I am rebuilding a mid 70's sports car and wanted to upgrade many of the nuts and bolts along the way. Since so many of the fasteners were originally painted and are now rusted it was going to be a ton of work to refurbish them all. Replacing them all with stainless steel is not only easier, but they look really nice and I don't have to be concerned with them getting rusty like the one's they replace. The fasteners in the assortment are good quality, with smooth clean threads. They fit as expected into threaded fittings on the car without any excess slop or play like I have gotten from cheaper nuts and bolts. Having a selection on hand like this makes it quick and easy to replace fasteners as I reassemble the car and has ended up also being cheaper than making multiple trips to the hardware store to purchase small numbers of nuts and bolts.

This kit consists of every length of stainless steel M5/M6/M8 hex head cap screws (nuts, flat washers & lock washers) normally needed. Rarely would you need a length outside the16-40 mm in this kit. As measured with "Professional Nut and Bolt Thread Checker", https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CR68KF1L, fastener threads are: 5 mm x 0.8 thread 6 mm x 1.0 thread 8 mm x 1.25 thread Screws and nuts are tightened with: M5 - 8 mm wrench M6 - 10 mm wrench M8 - 13 mm wrench 304 stainless steel is A2-70 grade as embossed on the fasteners (see PICTURE) which is stronger and more durable then 304 stainless steel grade 18-8. Storage Box: 1. All the parts are shipped in individual plastic bags (see PICTURE). This prevents mixing up of parts which might happen during shipping. 2. There are not separate compartments for the six sets of flat washers and lock washers. They are stored in the nut compartments (see PICTURE). 3. For final storage, I removed all the plastic bags other than the washers (see PICTURE). 4. I really liked the organization of the parts in the box. The top row is all M5 parts. The middle row, all M6 and the bottom row is all M8. 4. There are labels on both the outside and inside of the box (see two PICTURES). I prefer both as the outside label allows you to find among all other parts boxes. The inside label to be used when the lid is open and the proper compartment identified for the part needed. This kit was a great addition to my collection of parts kits. I like to immediately have the size I need when working on a project.
