They are good light duty solder-less connecters but the shrink tube takes way too much heat to shrink… you can wind up melting most wire insulation before the connector insulation shrinks.

8-31-18 I'm reviewing the Ginsco 250 piece Terminals, crimp-on with the heatshrink & adhesive. I was just looking to replenish my electrical supplies and these terminals (some insulated, some not) were some of the specific supplies I was searching for. I use these for my weather protected connections. I use these on mostly automotive but I have used them on 110v household appliances, such as on the controls of something. I have used Ginsco's other electrical hardware, such as their adhesive filled, heat shrink, crimp butt connectors. They were referred to me by a friend who does YT videos, as he had used them as well, with good results. I'm glad I chose these, as these work as well as those I buy in the big box stores, but for 1/5 the cost! Maybe even less! These types of products or supplies can certainly add up. I've already used some of the terminals from this kit and so far, they all installed easily and passed the "tug test". The insulation is also intact after crimping, so they should hold up in the application I used this for, which was to wire up an aftermarket radio and dashcam in my own vehicle. I will definitely order from Ginsco in the future. I bought this from the seller "GinscoDirect" but fulfilled by Amazon, which I feel is important to list this info. I've come across sellers with variances in their items, including knockoffs, even if listed as same brand. I'll post an update with a durability review. ... show more

I use these all the time when I wire my car or another project. They are cheap and work great for waterproof connections. I usually use a lighter on the heat shrink and it works well, a heat gun is idea so the glue doesn't bubble too much. this is a great, cheap kit for the more basic things. I have yet to have one that has failed besides from my own doing ... show more

Really liked how the connection is covered with heat shrink. But, it takes more heat to heat shrink than a blow dryer created and using a lighter almost melted the shrink. Next time i witless just get crimp connectors and separate heat shrink

These are very similar to the actual 3M Perma-Seal connectors. These are the best option for making automotive wiring connections, crimp, and then shrink down the heatshrink! Just make sure you leave the heat on the connector until the hot glue inside them melts! You'll know when because the connector will turn more transparent when the adhesive is melted! ... show more

I originally bought these to have them just in case I needed them someday. A friend needed some help with his boat trailer since he was leaving the next day on a 3 week fishing trip. The visit started as a “one of the tail lights doesn’t work” kind of visit. Glad I told him to bring trailer to my house. Whomever had originally wired the trailer must have been clueless. I surprised it worked as long as it did. 3 hours later, I had the trailer totally rewired using these great connectors. There were perfect and they sealed great. I’m getting several more sets......just in case ... show more
