  • Great value for a dual sport Great value for a dual sport
Color: Blue
Got this motorcycle as a beginner bike. Everything up to this point, has been great. The order was delivered in good order and timing was quick. The assembly was really easy. Little heavy getting front tire on but what do you do when you don’t have a stand. Headlights and turn signals were all mounted. After breaking in and letting it run for a bit it now runs well. Took it up the road and it seems pretty stable. Only time will tell with the rest. ... show more

  • What an experience! What an experience!
Color: Green
Okay, I wanted a dual sport bike around 250 cc for short trips to town and maybe lite trail riding. I always liked the Kawasakis. I went to my local Kawasaki dealer and they had in stock the 230. Looked kind of small for the 5 grand or so. I wanted to order the 300 but was told good luck on when you might get it. I started looking on the net for a 250 or so. Lots of used but new was what I had my mind on. Came across the Hawk 250. Hmmmm. Did as much research as I could and figured for that kind of money it was worth a chance. I ordered my first off of walmart, yes walmart. Ordered a lime green one because I wanted to install Kawasaki emblems lol. Ordered it, paid by credit card. In approximately an hour was told by phone "we have no green one" then why did you sell me one? Cancel my order! Went back to the walmart site and lookie there same bike in "green" for only 105 dollars more. Okay send it to me. Paid for it with my CC. Got a tracking number the next day , bike was on its way. Six days later they called and said "we no have it in green, we have black" Why do you people keep selling me something you don't have. Cancel my order! They had already charged my card and would not cancel and refund my money to my card. I had to complain to walmart and was issued a prompt refund from walmart. Ended up here on amazon. Ordered me a green one for I think 15 something, the cheapest yet. Next day I get my tracking number all is good till six days later. Bike is almost here according to tracking so why are you calling with "we have no green one"? "maybe have one in a week or so" Okay you win, I will wait. He is the inside scoop. I have it figured out. First they are all RPS. It stands for Ricky Power Sports. They all come into Texas. I am pretty sure all of these sellers are the same people. The reason they sell you something they don't have and say its on the way is to get the money from your credit card. They can't get the money until it is shipped. The bike arrived a week later in green. Nice shinny finish, hey its NEW. Put it together in two evenings. Not that big of a deal. Only instructions are on a fast speed video on youtube. Mostly common sense stuff. Took it for a ride. Probably 40mph top speed. After putting about 30 miles on her I get an email from the seller saying "don't run with the oil that came in it and DON'T drive it over 25 until broke in" Nice! Would have been great to know that before I figured out it does 40. You have to change the sprockets, easy job. Front to 17 and rear to 43 that will get you 55 or 60 with some carb work also. Simple mods. Bike drives fine. I am going to lower mine two inches. Bottom line this thing has got to be worth the 17 something that I have in it. And look it is a KLX250 clone for a fraction of the money. Order from the cheapest price, they are all the same bikes. Hope this rant helps someone. ... show more

  • Over all a good bike Over all a good bike
Color: Green
Over all a good bike, but the bike didn’t come with any sort of directions on how to assemble it, there is a video but it is poor quality and didn’t show what nuts and bolts went where leaving me to wonder if I fully put it together or if I missed something. Most of the plastics came in good condition but the front fender came with deep scratches, the radiator shroud decal (or sticker) was wrinkled and sloppily placed. After riding for awhile the nuts started to come loose and the chain guard came off while riding making me lose the bolts that held it on. Though, they did provide a decent amount of “extra” bolts, so using the spare bolts it was fixed. When changing the oil there were flecks of what seemed to be wear of the engine bearings, not heavy but would recommend changing before riding. The bike is pretty tall for me at 5’8. When riding the bike takes the bumps nicely and drives pretty good be it on the road, trails or mud. I’d say it’s a good deal for the money. ... show more

  • Was not a hawk motor
Color: Blue
Was expected the 1st delivered on the 29th with with prime it was a hhh Motorsport not the hawk name. Didn’t know what to expect with a EFI. Fairly strong for a 250, I don’t like that I can’t get bigger than 300, for this price range I could afford bigger.with out an online purchase I couldn’t anyway. Looking for a bigger 2 stroke with that pricing. wish on a 750 enduro but can’t get it online. So I’ll prolly never get it. It came mostly assembled, finishing set up was a breeze as long as u have the lift. 74 mph on flat road. (Factory) that is about all u want anyway without street tires. If it holds up. U can see smell and the factory burn of it which is normal. Overall if holds up good I’ll be very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Hit or miss this a miss for 2k Hit or miss this a miss for 2k

Good bike (I have 1,386 mils or kilometers gauge just rolls numbers no mils or km so idk which) good for beginners top speed (55-59mph) my issues was after removing the cat filter it smoked and adding a 32mm nibbi it consumes oil quick AF, definitely a Honda motor in the since it doesn't died easy but a clone in the since it's has no top end power easy to brake. Definitely not a 250cc it's a 249cc your not getting 14hp more of 10-12hp it still can do wheelies on take off (if u rev the F@#$ out of it an dump the clutch) if your rocker arm assembly snaps (don't weld it) I've tried it didn't work easy to work on cheap parts definitely not durable (the fame is cheap steel) solid but not for a dirt bike ... show more

  • Check all bolts and screws and put loctite on exhaust bolts.
Color: Blue
Great motorcycle. It had a few screws and bolts loose when it arrived. My grandson has put a couple thousand miles on it and only has had problems with on bolt that connected the exhaust pipe to the block. Everything else has been fine.

The photo is the older model, I ended up getting the DLX and love it. Shipping took a little longer with abf but came in within 2 weeks. Definitely recommend having help with assembly, took about 2 hours to assemble. It started right up after changing the oil and customer service was helpful getting the registration paperwork. Cant wait to hit the road and see how it rides ... show more
