Although the first wipes I received were completely dry, I used them before applying double sided tape to a tile wall, for a pretty heavy item. They definitely helped with the adhesion of the tape. Maybe they were dry because they were expired, however a few weeks after using them the tape is still holding strong, whereas when I first installed the item without using wipes, the tape was not holding to the wall. Maybe wet wipes would have more of the active ingredients and be even more effective, however even dry the wipes had enough to be effective. The company sent me another set. These have some moisture and I used them for 2 other surfaces - painted metal and painted/textured wall. After a couple weeks, the tape is still holding strong - much stronger than when I used double sided tape on without wipes on these surfaces in the past. I used scotch extreme double sided tape on these 3 surfaces. The wipes definitely help with the adhesion of the tape, making it a much stronger bond. This tape removes clean without wipes, and it may not remove as cleanly when prepping the surface with these wipes, as the wipes smell like glue. However the adhesion strength is much better with double sided tape after using the wipes. Thanks to the company for their assistance ... show more

These are much cheaper than the 3m brand but not as good. However you can use two or even three of these and still have more left over for what 3m charges. Be sure to use them within a few months and keep them away from extreme heat.

when using double sided tape for various project's especially for car interior this is a must have so convenient in wipes 1st time i've heard about this item i used on dashboard for led lights and after 20-30sec u apply the tape and it locks in place doesn't come loose easy to remove as well

Works incredibly well. Used this with 3M double sided tape to secure a dashcam to the internal roof of my Jeep Grand Cherokee, looking towards the back windshield. This will turn your tape to cement.
