Just hooked mine up . Set to the max temp and wattage settings and took my first shower with it. Works GREAT ! Pressure was good with just fully hot side but was TOO HOT !. Turned the shower handle to add a little cold water and temp was perfect and pressure then was very good ! Very pleased even though I.just hooked the heater in the same place an old 20 gal tank heater was, which supplies hot water to 2 full bathrooms. ( Did not use the shower head and flow restrictor that it came with ) I realize that we can't take 2 showers at the same time , but that's understandable. I must add though that my inlet temp is not that cold to start with (Florida). Your experience may not be the same, especially in the winter. Not sure about that. Maybe that's why some people are commenting that it doesn't get hot enough ? Works for me just fine, and at a great price too.. Absolutely nothing negative about this product or the seller. Be sure to follow the recommended breaker and electrical wire size though.....UPDATE>>>I liked it so much I bought another one to replace the kitchen Hot Water Heater as well..Used for sink, dishwasher and clothes washer, with no complaints with not enough pressure or temp. We are not that particular though ,so beware if you are. It's not like a 40 gal. standard tank heater ! We are pleased.

For 6 months it provided plenty of hot water for showering, without ever running out no matter how long it takes. Already noticed a savings on my gas bill, because it doesn't have a standing pilot, and makes hot water only when you need it. I think it's going to save on my water bill, because I lowered the temprature, so there's no need to mix cold water to cool it down. Also, the slower the water runs, the hotter it gets, so that allows lowering the temperature even more. This past month, it will sometimes come on, or not at all!

I'm seeing many reviews stating that this heater does not work. If your water pressure is too low then it will not start the heating elelment. There is a filter on the inlet valve and if you remove the filter your pressure will be higher in the heater. The unit has different power levels so you don't have to run it at 5500 watts if your circuit can't handle it. There are options for 3500 and 4500. The downfall of it is that I don't get the instructions. It has the three power levels, but then it has another 10 power levels to choose from under another menu item. Huh? I'm obviously misunderstanding something. Is it three or ten? To access the menu within the unit is not a intuitive act either. Without the paper instructions, you may never discover the hidden menu of options. You have to hold the up and down button for a fairly lengthy amount of time and then hit the power button to get to the first option, and if you want to get to the second option then you have to repeat the holding down of the up and down buttons followed by the power button again. That's great if you don't want anybody to ever mess with your settings. It works and it's clean looking! Note that if your water is extremely cold(near freezing) going into the heater that it will have trouble getting it up to a comfortable level for a shower. Slowing the flow level will help out, but depending on your preference it may be too low of pressure to get it up to a warm temp for a shower. If your water is a "normal" temp going in the heater then it should be able to get so hot that you have to turn it down. *EDIT* Two years after purchase. The heater is still working great. At this point, I would repurchase if needed. *2nd Edit* Three years and going strong. Nov 13, 2020 *3rd Edit* It's been through 4 years almost to the day. 100% recommended. Zero problems with the heater. I only came here to make sure it was still available and thinking of buying a backup unit so I don't get stuck without hot water one day being that this thing is my only source of hot water in my place. This unit was easy to install and nice looking unit even hanging on bathroom wall in our office/shop bathroom. Recommend using flow restrictors at 1.5 gallons per minute or less to keep the temperatures up with general use by those unfamiliar with tankless heaters. So far it works like a charm and meets our needs for a bathroom sink and kitchen sink.

I had to change my rating from one star to five. The instructions are lacking so it’s difficult to troubleshoot how to set it up the right way. Basically a plumber came in and adjusted the water flow on the intake and it went from barely heating the water for just thirty seconds or so to Wows. This thing can make scalding hot water in a shower. I didn’t understand that it needs just a certain level of water flow to operate correctly. But Man. Crazy little machine. This thing is worth every penny. I’m canceling my return and my apologies to the manufacturer for not understanding. They definitely need to have better directions but, for those perusing here as I did in the comments, perhaps they will run across this comment and glean the knowledge they need. Again. Stellar machine. Like something from a spaceship. I’m pleased that I bought two. Mahalos .•*

Installed with 240v 30 amp and was getting lukewarm water because feed source is very cold well water. The seller was very attentive in helping to resolve the problem and we eventually found a setting that worked. FYI, the documentation is poor. With minimal water setting, I can now get 55c water with enough pressure for a gentle shower. In the summer, it should hopefully improve. If you have a cold water source like me, a more powerful unit will give you hot water with a higher flow rate.

It did not even power up after it was processionally installed. This is the 3rd of similar units bought through Amazon that did not work. I’m totally fed-up.😩😩
