I bought this 20-inch bike for my 8-year-old as a birthday gift, and it turned out to be a great choice. The size fits him very well. He can get on and off comfortably, and when he rides it, the bike does not look too big or too small for him. The bike looks really nice in person. The blue color is clean and bright, and the mountain bike style is very cool for a child around this age. When my son saw it, he was really excited. For an 8-year-old, a bike with this kind of sporty look, bigger tires, and disc brake style feels much more exciting than a regular kids’ bike. He felt very proud riding it. Assembly was also pretty easy. It took me about 30 minutes to put everything together. The bike came packed well in the box, and the parts were protected. After opening the box, I just followed the basic setup, installed the parts, adjusted the seat and handlebar, then checked the brakes and tires before letting him ride. So far, he has been riding it around our driveway and neighborhood, and it feels stable and easy for him to control. The seat height is adjustable, which is helpful as he grows. The bike also feels solid for a kids’ bike, and the overall design looks good in the photos too. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. Overall this is a good bike for the price. It seems well built and it ships with tons of padding, so mine arrived pristine. I will likely upgrade the pedals, though, which feel very cheap. The other components like derailers, brakes, tires, front fork, seat, etc. feel adequate for the price of the bike and the length of time my son will be able to ride the bike before he needs a bigger one. ... show more

Got this for my 10-year-old son and he’s been riding it quite often since it arrived. Setup was pretty easy—took me about 30 minutes with the tools that came in the box. Everything felt solid once assembled. He’s been using it for rides around the neighborhood and some light trail riding. Gears shift smoothly, brakes are responsive, and he says it’s really comfortable. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, just something decent that wouldn’t fall apart—and this bike delivered. I received this bike today and after assembly following all included instructions, the bike experienced a catastrophic failure on the first ride on flat pavement where the metal handlebar assembly sheared in half during riding. This resulted in the rider being violently ejected sustaining significant injuries. I am waiting on engagement by the manufacturer to deep-dive the failure mode more extensively but I would caution against purchasing this bike due to this failure. I plan to update this review with any results of my engagement with the manufacturer. ... show more
