It is what is advertised, I was looking for something to put valuables in. As for fireproof or waterproof I wouldn't call it that because there are mounting holes that will let water and flames in. We got this to store medication in, and it is great for that. Lots of room with the additional shelves. But let's be real - this is NOT 6 cubit feet of space. Virtually none of the safes advertised are what they say. It is simple to calculate using the measurements and online calculators (or by hand). It is 2.5956 ftยณ using the measurements given. But having said that, it is very spacious and fits our needs very well. I am not taking off a star for that because the measurements given ARE accurate. It was easy to set up, but the shelves are kind of rattley. There is one thumbscrew holding them down on each side. I put some rubberized tape on the shelf that you screw them to nullify the rattle. We were going to put this in our closet, but there is only 1 inside LED and it just doesn't do a good enough job of lighting it up. More would have been better, or even if the one there pointed into the safe more. I am going to have to take a star off for those two things. We moved this into our bedroom where there is more ambient light. It is on carpet and it would fall forward when the door is opened. Some spacers under the front corrected that. We don't want to secure it to the wall just yet, but might in the future. Keypad is great, I like that you can set a longer combination. Keys works well, and I love the idea of the battery pack as an emergency way to get in. I didn't test it out yet. This is not the most secure safe out there, and it's pretty light and thin. But it works for what we need it for. The fireproof bag is nice to have. Quick and easy to lock and unlock. Overall very happy with it. ... show more

Perfect compact safe for home or rental use. Easy to set up, fits cash, passports, and small items. The fireproof bag is a great bonus. Not ultra heavy-duty, but great for peace of mind and casual security. Would buy again!

Solid product. Like that there are multiple options to open it. One down was the inability to adjust the shelf. If something doesn't fit you just have to remove the shelf completely.
