This has a lead-acid battery. It doesnt say anywhere that its not lithium ion, just putting the info out there. Slight delay in movement after inputting a control, but otherwise great value. The battery doesnt stay mounted well, but I shimmed it with a piece of rubber and it hasnt fallen off once. I wish the feet could be removed, because it makes it difficult to fold up. Seems like the controller could be switched to the left side, but it interferes with portions of the folding mechanism. This is a problem if the user has no use of their right hand.

My mom bought this wheelchair because I'm flying on an airline that requires wheelchairs with lithium batteries be detachable. I was hoping this wheelchair would be better than the reviews I've read, and be more "as advertised". However, it turns out it was just as bad as some the negative reviews. Battery life and assembly seems to be the most accurate, thing but that's where it stops. Acceleration and speed are slower than my other wheelchair with a non-removeable lithium battery and a missing rear wheel retaining pin. I used the wheelchair on full speed outside and it "barely" goes 4 mph. it goes faster on carpet and smooth surfaces but anything else slow as a slug. Maneuver and drivability. it's not very responsive in tight spaces in my house. and yes it DOES slide on miniscule hills and driveway inclines creating a potential safety hazard for folks with disabilities. Going over small or medium bumps is a challenge as it looses power when doing so making it less safe and a brick. Weight, it's listed at 58lbs, I'm assuming with battery. This makes it difficult bordering on next to impossible to lift manually for folks with neuro muscular, elderly, or other physical disabilities to lift into there vehicle's. my other one weight 38lbs that's a 20lb difference. Durability ....I think it is pretty durable? I've only used it a few times and it's still doing good. [i haven;'t put it in a situation where it would be at risk of being damaged. But It still has problems going over bumps and cracks. Over all quality I'd say aside from using for air travel trips it will be suitable and suffice. But for regular daily use it's a slug, a brick and a safety hazard, and I'd recommend the manufacturer takes these negative reviews seriously. and if your thinking of buying this I say do so at your own risk.
