When I received the package I thought it was a little small and light but I carried on confident that this would be an impressive gift for my best friend. When we opened the first compartment I was furious! I had purchased this calendar for a GROWN WOMAN thinking that it would contain makeup and skin care samples...We first pulled out a teeny, tiny little box that claimed to contain an eyeliner. The adorable little eyeliner box contained an even more adorable little eyeliner pen less than 1" long that was non-functional. Every compartment we opened contained a tiny, non-functional version of a beauty product! Some of the items even open and have little accessories. After the 3rd item we began carefully examining each item and realized that these are perfect recreations of products you can actually buy at Ulta. They are excellent quality with perfectly printed and formed details and even perfect little boxes with itty, bitty little packing materials inside. So realistic I actually tried testing the little lip glosses on my hand to see if they had any product in them. The attention to detail on these things is incredible! After that we started to get excited about what we would find the next day:) We love to laugh in our family and this definitely delivered! Please note that the products in this calendar are not real. They are doll sized. They are for dolls. Perfect gift for an 8-12 year old or an adult with a good sense of humor!

Exactly what I wanted! It's plainly obvious this is a "mini" advent calendar manufactured by Zuru the brand that is *specialized* in making miniature mystery capsule toys. If you actually thought you were going to get full sized functional makeup products in a tiny package priced under $40 then you're the idiot not the company. The packaging is not misleading and clearly described the concept here. The items inside are so detailed and work perfectly with my 1:6 world. My dolls were thrilled and I have the common sense to understand that you're not getting 40 full sized items in a package weighing less than 4 pounds. This collaboration with Ulta and Zuru has made my inner child and my makeup enthusiast self very happy.

I was shocked to find out this contains no products! It's a toy! The tiny plastic pieces would be choking hazards, so don't get this for children young enough to put toys in their mouths, please! The first item was a plastic rectangular toy that resembled a, "Naked Pallet" which was about 1/4th the size of a stick of chewing gum...A toy. Otherwise, the only suitable application would be to use this set for an accessory to a Barbie Doll. At the price, however, I wouldn't even do that. Definitely a throw away for me, as I don't want a child getting hold of these tiny toy pieces.

Super fun! Included mini makeup, hair dryers , and nail polishes from real brands that are real products. (Not real makeup ) choking hazard for kids 2 and under. I loved this so much I use it for my Barbies everytime I'm 10! One for each day of Christmas like an advent calendar . Bit pricy for not real makeup 30$$
